The title speaks it all. Oh, that and I will definitely pay for a yuri show involving Sakura, Misaki and Aoi, with the end transforming all of them into a harem for Usui. OH YES.
On a more personal note, I wish Francis from Tiamat’s reviews and his family well after he finally passed away peacefully after combating with his illness after so long. May God bless him and rejoice in his presence.
Sakura is in love with the vocalist of a popular band, and manages to secure a fan meeting with the band. She asked Misaki along for the meeting. Misaki hence cleared all her commitments for the student council, in order to be free for the meeting. As they count down to the days to meet the band, Misaki was glad that Sakura is so in love, with Shizuka in quiet contemplation. On the day of the meeting, it turned out that the three idiots are working in the cafe where Misaki and co. will be meeting the band. After a lively exchange, it seems that Kuuga, the vocalist of the band, has taken an interest to Misaki. He then cornered Misaki at the toilet, only for Usui to interrupt his advances effectively while identifying himself as a stalker.
Misaki also realized he was into Sakura simply as a service to the fans. It is clear now that Kuuga is ignoring Sakura, and simply using Sakura to hook up with Misaki. He then insulted Misaki and insinuated that she must be good “dealing with guys” since she is smart, pretty and also a student council. Finally, Sakura snapped and screamed out against him. Misaki also flared up, grabbing Kuuga by the collar. She warned him not to fool around with Sakura’s feelings, and told him that his service to the fans is a pathetic gesture. Later Shizuka is angry at them for being loud in the public place (to Misaki), and to be more careful when falling in love (at Sakura).
It’s the most fricking delightful episode for a long time. Remember how I complained about the filler episode being boring? Now, this episode clearly shows how to make a shoujo comedy funny, and bring in all the stops to shut up a huge fan of Kaichou wa Maid-sama. This is in my humble opinion, one of the best episodes for Kaichou because it had the nice balance of comedy and so kyaa kyaa moments. First, let’s talk at the kyaarific scene. That scene was definitely how Usui came to the rescue, and identified himself as a stalker. That was a completely facepalm moment, and I was laughing my guts out when he said it with almost a nonchalant tone. Now, HOW COOL IS THAT, you tell me. Honestly, it is so fricking amazing that I found myself replaying the scene. In fact, I am going to replay it now…
Ok, now that I re-watched the scene, it makes it even funnier because Usui identified himself while sparkling with bishie stars. This is what I call a total aura of comedy gold, simply because it is so Usui yet it is something you are surprised about. I mean, which guy in his right mind, will identify himself as a stalker with such panache. It’s weird but amazing, hah! I also like Misaki’s extremely fervor reaction toward any implication that Usui is her boyfriend. Seriously, girl, you need to sort out your feelings when you are literally blushing left right and center.
Oh, and when he said “I am extremely possessive“, all hell went loose in Impz’s bedroom as he listens to the anime conversation with his headphones. I mean, that is perhaps the most sexy and delicious scene in the whole episode. I know I live just for such shoujo scenes, and this is one scene that hits wide out for a home run. You go, Usui. Go manipulate this poor little sod of a Misaki to your hands! The conversation at the end was also cute, because she realized the connection of how she was comforting Sakura, just as Usui is comforting her. The demure blushing of Misaki makes it all the more sweeter.
I do wonder if bands actually consider service to the fans as something so troublesome. As much as it is done in a joking way, I wonder if movie stars are actually laughing at all those fans behind their back. I do not really know about the entertainment world, so I will like to be enlightened a little. Perhaps, it is considered to be a necessary evil to deal with the poor fans since these rich singers depend on them to succeed and earn their big bucks. I just thought that it is interesting to point this out. Kuuga also manages to be as obnoxious as he could, though I thought the ignoring of Sakura is a little too unprofessional (unrealistic) for a band that is decently popular.
I actually like Shizuka a lot in this episode. For all of her silent self, it is so amusing when she turns into some rampaging bull at the end. In fact, I noted that she did not even say a single word during the meeting, as though she is allergic to men or something. I actually find the dynamics of Shizuka and Sakura very interesting. If anything, I really wonder if they will ever try to ship Shizuka to anyone. That will be a fun thing to deal with.
So, do you enjoy this episode as much as I do? I hope you did, and maybe, tell me about your favorite scene this episode. My favorite scene is really the stalker scene. Nothing can beat that, unless you can prove me wrong
