I do not know what it is about this show but I find myself inexorably compelled to try and spread the gospel of the Outer Gods. While Mahrio seems like a typical loser harem animu male, it is with good reason he does not dare consummate his relationship with his strange new tenant who has enough omniscient powers to hack his Facebook account and enough combat prowess to turn a rock and a crow bar into weapons of mass and messy destruction. Those who doubt the power of Nyarlathotep are foolish for she has many guises and as Herald of the Gods, her presence on Earth portents the end of times. Thankfully the duplicitous slander of non-believers is patently false and Nyarlathotep is here not to destroy us but to save us all to ensure the steady supply of the entertainment goods that the Outer Gods demand as just tribute.
The Nightgaunt infestation will soon be a thing of the past as Crawling Chaos takes this task of their extermination seriously. I understand why Mahiro cannot bear to see Nyaroko’s prowess with kick, rock, and crow bar, for the truth of her methods are terrible to know and behold. Mahiro is still fighting a losing battle though no matter what he does to try and preserve his sanity points he will lose them all in good time. He has attracted the attentions of a being whose mind is far greater than his own, his struggles against her affections are ultimately futile for reality will warp and conform to her desires.
Nyaruko is not going for SHOW OF THE YEAR but it’s great to have a show that oozes so much nerd that it never seems to have a dull tentacle in it’s amorphous mass. Bet it masked riders, Pokemon, Lovecraft, and all things nerd Nyarlathotep is here to being the gospel of nerd consumerism. Yes the censors will have to be avoided but the fact is she need to preserve our sanity points for multiple season as she cannot simply burn out every cultist she claims with the terrifying truth. When and if Mahiro’s parents return they better not ask too many questions, for their son is as good as hers. One should never try and get between the Gods and their goals. If my warped instincts are correct then this show can do no wrong or my real name isn’t Jervas Dudley and I am a Dagon. Still this show does require a certain level of nerd to full comprehend and if nothing else it’s a good time to re-read some old favorites because it seems that the staff has gone MAD from reading the Necronomicon one too many times.
