It feels good to be really caught up, if there was ever a reason to be wary of hetero pairings in this show Yurikano gave us all a reason to ship MadokaxLanxMuginami more religiously. I find it interesting that the gate to Rinne can be opened with strong emotion but it seems that hetero thoughts seem to invite destruction on a planetary scale. Sadly Yurikano was not going to stay long outside of Rinne but at least her day back in the regular world was fruitful. I don’t think that this show is going to have a truly vile irredeemable villain, heck Dizelmine’s reasons aren’t without merit and he does have embarrassing secrets of his own. All in all it was a most amusing set of episodes that had me laughing, yes they kind of wanted you to know about the history between Yurikano and her lackeys but it wasn’t terribly integral to enjoying the episodes.
I am glad to see that Lan and Muginami are all in with Madoka and will not be having second thoughts about going back to their foolish onii-chans. Watching Villabulio get blown by Yuriyuri was HISTERICAL it was like watching a sis-con gnash his teeth as someone stole his imouto. I have to hand it to Asteria to try and broker peace by the tactical use of elevator action. With Yurikano gone the possibility of having a royal marriage unite the two planets is out of the question. De Metrio’s cause only recently got a bit of life back but it seems clear that Le Garite still has the upper hand. Moreover Villabuilio is not going to be accepted by La Garite and Madoka would likely wipe them out if Guivini so much as looked at Lan funny.
I wonder if things really had gone south by the time that Yurikano took out Militia Zodia. By the look of things her bid to scare off both Dizelmine and Villabulio failed. Kirius seems to believe that Yurikano sacrificed herself to help them both see sense but common sense isn’t so common when it comes to the two kings. Yurikano said her piece and it is pretty clear that she and Dizelmine loved each other but had a major difference in opinion. Perhaps seeing her again and having her disappear fully this time will remind them both of what she would have wanted and what she chose to go to Rinne for. Still both kings are about to get a royal ass kicking courtesy of Madoka.
I can’t help but feel bad for the three lackeys, their first captain came and went and they could not catch up at all. All three of them have kept faith despite her disappearance, but thankfully they can still serve Yurikano’s heir apparent in Madoka. Sadly they seem to be less than enthused about running haunted houses and working part time jobs to pay for their keep. At least they did sortie when it mattered most though they really should not use fishing nets for camouflage netting. Izo seems to be under a lot more fire as he is the sole malcontent in the group. I just hope that Izo treats Sachi with care because if he thinks that Madoka will overlook any hurt feelings from Sachi, he is sadly mistaken. Poor Array shouldn’t feel too bad that Yurikano did not recognize them, after all Array only recently became a meido trap and Kirius rarely wore butler outfits.
Lan and Muginami are getting along famously after they got asylum from the insidious influence of onii-chan. While the long speech by Asteria is sure to leave it’s mark they should remember that they really don’t need men, more importantly it seems that affection for men prevents a proper memoria. Lan had a few moments of embarrassment herself as Muginami described in detail the Lay of Lan to Dizelmine. I am fairly certain that Dizelmine isn’t a sis-con, but Lan should be glad that Muginami remembered every bit of Lan in loving detail. Yes, privacy is important but there should be few if any secrets between lovers. Muginami and Madoka could not help but be curious as to see Lan’s royal chamber. Her poetry wasn’t that bad even if they were simple and the result of trying too hard.
Playing the Le Garite handlers for suckers was a great moment for Muginami and Lan, I am getting more impressed with Muginami as the series goes on. Now that she is free from Digigburio, Muginami is now actively assisting the Madoka cause and being less of a hindrance. Long may Muginami believe in Madoka as the power of her faith has now overturned two warring kingdoms. It was artful acting on her part and coming up with a plan of action was most impressive. Lan did her part and drew out her royal speech far longer than was coherently possible but for one moment it was good to be Princess of Le Garite.
Madoka was just a ball of energy this time around, and I did enjoy her going head to head with Yurikano when they could not reach an agreement. Yes, Madoka should not have fully trusted Dizelmine but it seems that she is so special that not even Dizelmine’s scheming can fully offset Madoka’s luck. Madoka never did stop believing in an alternative solution and it seems that her persistence in the face of nigh impossible odds has paid off. I just hope we get to see Madoka give Dizelmine and Digibullio a righteous smiting for their silly war. I hope that all of Asteria’s talk of boys did not sow the seeds of doubt about the rightness of her love for Lan and Muginami. Madoka may not pay attention to Tadokoro much but at least she was able to discern the feelings of Yurikano’s heart.
Even if there will be no immediate peace at least two kings will have their crowns beaten into their heads.
