So Moid did it all jus to hear a voice…but thankfully while the audience thought it was rather stupid, Yoko also whole heartedly agreed to the point that she re-arranged his face. It makes me sad that this show is so excessively happy I really would have been up for a vicious beating of Moid by Yoko as Asteria kicks his face in for good measure. Alas that would be a significant thematic change that might have ended in disaster. This show is so unabashedly optimistic that Dizelmine’s sorrow over bro-fists not honored is called out for being a total BS. All too often the whiny butthurt of emo gets praised these days, thankfully Madoka wasn’t going to have any of it. Moreover we don’t need some silly orange drink and pretensions of deeper hidden meaning. Rinne is a funny dimension and while the Unlimited Beams Sword works was ineffectual, I am glad that they were able perform a Dimension Shattering Suplex to take Round 1.
Round 2 looks inevitable and possibly we will have another gattai as the Voxes were once one during the glorious reign of Queen Asteria Maycun. Since the staff seems aware of other shows, perhaps they can take a page from Aquarion. I guess it is too much to ask that Moid be executed but I am sure Queen Maycun will have a fitting punishment for traitors and malcontents. It’s just a pity that they people who sent her off to die 20,000 years ago escaped punishment, but maybe simply surviving and retaking her throne will be sufficient retribution. Digiburio is a snake though, Dizie may have been wrong to get emo but one should always honor their bro-fists. That Guivini betrayed that trust says plenty about his duplicitous character and why no one seems to believe in him for very long. Hell even Grania decided to broker a cease fire because she was tired of this war.
Grania is no Galactic Hero but at least she had enough training to take a page out of Julian Minci’s book, sadly her La Garite opposite didn’t have the smarts to put his marines on alert to repel a boarding action. The Three Lackeys stuck around and hopefully they will survive long enough to genuflect before the Jersey Club for saving the day. Guivni is bed ridden and hopefully he stays there for a bit so he can’t muck things up again. Hiroshi may be a sappy uncle, but at least the lunches proved useful. While the Jersey Club is infamous for its tenacity every once in a while they need a little kicked and the lunches proved just as useful as a Bright Slap for reminding them to never give up and to never give in.
Moid is a creep, but still he is an example of persistence gone wrong. This wasn’t his first rodeo and that he has had so many failed memoria attempts should have hammered home the point that the voice just wasn’t interested in him. Given that the Voice of Rinne seems to only select women I think it’s safe to say that it doesn’t dig men in general.
One more episode to go and I am preparing for some heartache, it was hard enough parting with a sequel in the wings but saying good bye all over again for a real end is only going to be harder.
