VDO game titles I'm looking forward too

Well, with the ending of 2006 and coming of 2007, there are tons of games that I’m quite eager to play. Being the major RPG fan that I am, several of these games are RPGs, but there’re also your music/rhythm games and action/adventure, etc. Being that I have no Gamecube or XBox, my choices are once again. . limited to PS2.

Should I break down and buy a Wii for the heck of it? I dunno, lol. . I’m still contemplating on purchasing a modded slim-PS2 since my slidecard and old PS2 (one of the ones reserved/bought from the first shipment to the US way back when) are starting to become increasingly edgy on me.
Meh . . if I do, that’s going to burn a $300-400 hole in my wallet. >_>

Final Fantasy XII

Is there anything I need to say? lol. This game already recieved critical acclaim in Japan. . and I’m just itching to get a feel for the newly revamped battle system and story. From what I read of the story, the game seems really quite interesting. Sure, the main male character can be taken as both a boy and a girl, but who cares. . XD;;

Disgaea 2

I’m guilty of recently playing the original Disgaea. My initial qualms with the game was due to my bad experience with La Pucelle Tactics. . . not to mention, the obscene price for the game (both new and used) scared me from giving the original title a shot. Now that I ::coughpiratedcough:: a copy and played it, I’m sorta addicted to the strategy-filled battles it contains, lol. That makes the sequel a definate try/buy for me.

Xenosaga III – Also Sprach Zarathustra

Granted that the second one didn’t rub me the right way, I’m still intrigued by the story that was started by Xenosaga Episode 1. My hopes are that they don’t make the game so rigidly structured like Episode 2 was. Definately playing it for the story and to find out what happens. Hopefully the new tinkered battle system and game mechanics have improved upon Episode 2′s.

Asides from these, there are still tons of other games that I want to play as well. To list a few, there’re games like God of War II, Tales of the Abyss, Beatmania IIDX 12th Style Happy Sky, Guitar Heroes 2, etc etc.
Looks like I’m going to have to juggle my time and divide it accordingly. . >_>

    I don’t know about Dynasty Tactics but Disgaea is very much like Final Fantasy Tactics. But I feel that Disgaea focus a lot more on power-levelling than actual tactics.

    Haha, I played a little bit of all three games (FFXII, Disgaea 2 and Xenosaga III) but can’t understand a thing since they’re all in japanese, lol.
