Since today’s the last day I’m spending in Sydney, and tomorrow I’ll be heading back to the hell-on-earth known as Canberra, I went shopping and spent some $130 on anime related goods. Apart from the two Gundam plastic models (gunplas, get used to the term I’ll be using it more and more often) featured here, I also bought vol 4 and 5 of Gunslinger Girl and vol 12 of School Rumble. Reviews on those will come once I finish building and jerking one off to my MG Titan. I also bought Maddox’s Alphabet of Manliness. I haven’t read it yet, but I feel more manly already.

Master Grade RX-178 Gundam Mk II Titans Prototype Mobile Suit
Price: $70AUD
Scale: 1:100
This is Version 2.0. This just means that there are newer, more flexible joints, so you can make really awesome poses. The older model also does not have one Gundam punching out another Gundam as the cover image, and that alone makes it 100% more inferior. More pics when I finish building it.
Expected Awesomeness Index: 4.5/5 Keroro Gunsou’s approve!

High Grade Sword Impulse Gundam ZGMF-X56S/beta
Price: $30AUD
Scale: 1:144
I bought this for a friend, so it technically does not belong to me, but he hasn’t paid me for it yet so I’m retaining ownership until he does.
Expected Awesomeness Index: 2.5/5 Tamama’s will get jealous.
I will have an extended post on the awesomeness of my MG Titan once I make it.

I bought the Zeta Gundam v2 after my trip to Japan coz I couldn’t buy it then as it was sold out. But yes building Gunpla is quite fun and can vary from a day to about a week, depending on how much time you spend on building it. Hope you enjoy building it.
The Sword Impulse is trash if left unpainted. Seriously. I handpainted mine and burnt it with a lighter for a hate-Shinn campaign.
Adun: I usually build mine very quickly, usually within a day, but then I don’t have much experience with building Master Grades. I can’t imagine taking a whole week to build a Gunpla unless you’re painting it as well, and even then I imagine only PGs would take so long.
TJ: Burning your painted Gundam… isn’t that kind of dangerous? Toxic fumes everywhere =O
Tried making one using a month? =D
Seriously, no point in rushing to make finish a gunpla. you’ll get lousy results.
