There's no JC staff works for the spring season? WHY?

Nothing but Shana to look forward to?

Does anyone know what JC Staff is working on for the spring season?

A brief scan of most of the series that are coming out in the spring season apparently returned with a ZERO count on JC Staff works. I hope I am really just dizzy due to the late night now rather than facing a truth that there’s fricking ZERO series other than the ongoing Nodame Cantabile.

I know one of their major works that is coming up is the Shakugan no Shana movie, but that is not possibly going to kill every single of their working cells. It’s really impossible to imagine them burning out from one movie, even if it’s going to be a very crazy hit. The many works of JC Staff like Someday’s dreamers, Nodame Cantabile, Asatte no Houkou, Ghost Hunt, H & C and Zero no Tsukaima are among some of their best recent fare that I have watched. Hence, seeing ZERO series animated by them for this big spring season is a great disappointment.

Can someone who knows Japanese or has news of up-coming news on the spring season comfort me with information about JC Staff works in the spring season? Is it a trend for them to have little works in the spring season? I need answers, answers, answers!

p/s: [Aroduc] Yeah Impz, pretty sure Potemayo is JCStaff’s new Spring series.

I don’t see it under the confirmed list, sigh. No JC works?

Well the only news on their site talks of updating the Nodame Cantible section, the release schedule for Shakagan no Shana, and then the recent updates to the site.

Sorry Impz I don’t see anything about any new animes that might be up and coming, maybe they have yet to update though?

… oh geez, she’s become Nagi Sanzenin. :P

Beyond that… I’m a bit worried about the series composition staff for Hayate at the moment, after the announcement. We’ll see how it does, but I’m feeling less optimistic about it now than I was before.

@Haesslich: Hmmm, Hayate? I am not really too ermm interested with the series, even though it’s supposedly to be a very funny manga series (I read a bit of it). Somehow, I didn’t find it too funny, just moderate.

@DJ: hmmm, it’s really sad since I am always keen on JC staff’s work, if only to see what they are picking up next since they are a great animation company with decent/excellent series recently.

I can’t say anything except that I’m quite looking forward to Shakugan no Shana. It’ll be too bad if JC staff doesn’t do anything, but maybe they are preparing for a smashing summer season.

“Potemayo” will be a summer series. As far as I know, J.C. has nothing planned for the spring. Summer will be different.

I take that back. It may end up being a fall series, but I’m hoping that it’s a summer one. Oh well.

@Briar: I am definitely looking forward to Shakugan no Shana but I am sad…No series of JC staff to tide me through the spring season? I know that it’s asking a bit too much considering the possibly great series that are coming out, but still…Anime fans are meant to be greedy at all times.

@Bata: I am sadness epitomized. I have to wait until Fall?

The best JC Staff series ever is Rescue Wings. You should watch that.

Impz: Part of the fun is looking for the in-jokes. The other half is realizing that it’s a (bit) of a subtle parody on the typical shounen love story… as both the guy AND the girl are misunderstanding one another’s intentions, so something that one says to the other gets completely misinterpreted… and creates further misunderstandings which can or are eventually exploited by the writer.

Awawawa! I’m really hoping it’s a summer series.

    @Bata: sigh, deflated….T_T

@Haesslich: What series are you talking about? Rescue wings?

@Tj: I might check it out when I have the time. I have heard some good stuff on it :)
