I generally do not talk about my personal life in this anime blog but this has some repercussions for the blog, which is why I am mentioning it here. This is just a update for all who are somewhat concerned for the future of the blog. I did mention before about my Master’s application to my university, which is something that I have been quietly looking forward to, as I really hope to get a research scholarship from the school. Just today, I have finally received confirmation that I will be accepted and be teaching soon in my university. I am definitely happy that I have found a job, and one that I really enjoy even if it will eat up quite a bit of my time. The pay is nothing great, and the workload might be a lot. However, it’s always good to work for something you enjoy, no? If anything, having a secured future for at least two years really makes me happy, and I am very glad that I can find a job two months before I officially graduated.
What does this mean for T.H.A.T Anime Blog?
For the immediate period, I am doing some part time research-based work and working on some other personal stuff during this summer holiday. This part-time work has been killing most of my time that I have to spend with my recreational time. As the recreational time is mostly spent on communicating with my buddies and my girlfriend, there is a high likelihood that the constant updates from me might not be that frequent anymore.
When my teaching in the university starts in August, I can only say for sure that T.H.A.T Anime Blog is here to stay at least for quite a while. It will not be shut down, since we do have a decent staple of writers other than me (you do know that, right?). We will be still here, giving you some quality posts, and some lesser-quality posts (that occurs quite often when I have some warped thoughts). So, that is about all for Impz’s life updates!

Looks like I’ll have to pick up the pace a bit… if only I’m not collapsing under the weight of my own uni work.
Thanks all! I have been on happy adrenalin for the past few days and being totally unable to do any work due to this. Sigh. Well, to answer a few questions posed by people.
1. Close to 70% of the posts are written by me in this blog.
2. I do have an army of writers, but they are a very lazy bunch of writers other than Crusader-san.
3. Getting to teach a class in my university is really an amazing thing, even though it will be likely to be restricted to tutorials. Nevertheless, I will not be revealing what university I am in, not on the blog at least. It will be funny if one of my viewers turn out to be my future students in Singapore. Ho ho ho. ^_^ and I hear a comment like “Hey Impz, got this stupid lecturer in my school that sucks. He’s a master’s student”

Frankly speaking, Impz, I just envy you so much. Being a blog writer as well, I just cannot keep a balance between my study in college and my interest toward anime…..I am working hard for my further education going to America or Canada, so I just could not share some time to writting Anime review or commentary in English…..(So hard for a chinese)
Anyhow, just congratulation for your hard work, and hope you could still doing your terrific job on the THAT anime! You bet!
@Mars: Oh, there is perhaps quite good, if you ask me. I know that some companies here are often keen to get foreigners, as long as they have a talent to contribute. Of course, there is a huge debate on the foreign talent and whether they should be taking a decent amount of job opportunities. Yes, the nationalistic vs overseas talent question that pops out for many nations. Hence, I believe it is very good, if you are keen. It’s safe here too.

@Pony Mark: Hah, I think I am one of the very few people who can keep a balance, but I am much of a slacker compared to most people. It’s sad but I find it extremely hard to motivate myself compared to most people, and like you, I am working hard for my further education going to America.
Being Chinese is not that bad. In fact, I know a lot of China scholars and China students who are way better than me in almost everything. It kinda makes me think how good they are …too good in fact.
