How dare you make my Risa cry, you freaking chibi little nothing, Atsushi. It’s a good thing that I cannot send all the Seikos in the world to rape the hell out of Atsushi, because I will do so. How dare you reject the advances of the oh-so-god so adorable Risa, with her cute little fits and her nice figure.
Who is the one who is always entertaining you when you are feeling down? Who is the one that can make you happy like no one in the world can? Risa is, and you dumped her without giving her a chance. That’s it, Atsushi, you are dead! On Lovely Complex Episode 9, I really like the emotions that are going through, even though they did throw in a bit of comedy for good measure. I honestly think that it is perhaps for the best interests of the two for Atsushi to break her heart currently, in order for them to have a proper future together.
Risa is still not ready for a relationship, considering how nervous she gets with Atsushi. It is way too surreal and unnatural, but I cannot forgive Atsushi for hurting my Risa. MY RISA!

Sorry for posting again. I just finished watching the episode and OH GOD my heart broke at the sight of Risa crying, even though I was watching a RAW and didn’t understand shit. AAARRRGGH Otani better make up for it next episode or I’ll bribe the animators to make Umibouzu kick him. GO RISA!!!!!!!!! TT_____TT
@CherylHew: Wow, someone is rather vindicative here toward Atsushi. I feel really bad for Risa because she is never thought to be a female by Atsushi, and it seems that as expected, he really thinks of her as a “tall giant and part of that comedic duo” rather than anything but a female.
However, I felt that the episode portrayed it very well in terms of the rejection felt by Risa and I find it totally tear-jerking to actually see Risa’s heart broken so badly. Risa is a very fragile girl despite her appearance and her joking behavior, and I can almost feel her heart shatter so badly by Atsushi.
Well, Otani has to make it up big time as a good friend, or else I wish Seiko will go from behind, lock the two up and rape the hell out of him @_@;;;

Well, I don’t exactly hate Atsushi… Just the fact that he made the GODLY Risa cry. THAT BAKA T_T Yeah the anime potrtayed it so awesomely… Until even the Kansai-ben-idiot I am was blasted away by the emotions. I can understand a bit of how Risa feels since I’m the comedian of my class and I act so not girlish, but I don’t have the urge to have people see me as a girl, so =/

@CherylHew: Oh, I do laugh at him sometimes when he makes Risa cry, but in a way, Risa does cry a bit too easily but that is also her moe point. In a way, Risa is actually quite feminine but it’s perhaps only Atsushi who thinks in that way. I mean, she only acts all comedian like when she is around him, and she’s pretty much a normal girl.
Sigh, I do hope that Atsushi finally realizes what he is missing and fall deeply in love with Risa. Risa should play hard to get then ^^

Lovely Complex is probably the best new series this season… Very funny and moving at times… Risa in a yukata FTW…
It’s not just that Atsushi didn’t see Risa as female; he also sees Risa as nothing more than a great friend. I think it’s hard to switch mentality, so I can understand his hesitation.
HOWEVER!
Come on! They were meant to be together! Stop procrastinating and REALIZE THAT ALREADY!!!!
Also, the scene where Risa cried and keep stammering “bear” “bear” “bear” made me cried and laughed at the same time. I didn’t know that’s possible. It was so funny in a way, yet at the same time so heartbreaking.
Well I can’t be too harsh on him really since he really did make up for it in the end.
Even if he is completely clueless in regards to how she feels about him.
Then again thats pretty normal. I’ve been guilty of that myself.
But yes they so belong together.
