Gar! Gar! Gar!!!!!!!! The epitome of GAR is in this post (…I think)

GAR GAR GAR!!!! – Impz is foaming in his mouth after watching Episode 33 twice. Do not click read on if you do not want to be spoilt.

After watching Episode 33 of History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi, I am filled with the power of GAR as the usually goofy and non-violent Kenichi went into GAR mode. Well, Kenichi usually does fight quite a bit, but you cannot really feel that much of a malicious spirit in him to kick the freaking a** out of his opponent.

This fight between Hermit and Kenichi is really why I like Kenichi quite a bit. Kenichi is not your typical shounen character, blessed with great power and sudden abilities that will manifest. I mean, yes, he still slips into quite stereotypical shounen when everyone hits him a thousand times, and he wins by doing a certain stroke. Nevertheless, his main strengths is his sturdy frame that will not fall no matter what and it’s not really “plot armor” but more of the abuse he had gotten in training.

That is what I like about Kenichi, a hero whose only talent is to train hard (even though he escapes often) and powerful because he trained so darn hard against demonic instructors. Now, let me return to re-watching this series and going “GAR GAR GAR!!!!”
