Yep, if you are a frequent visitor to the blog, you should have noticed that the sidebar seems to be shortened quite a bit. It is due to the fact that the various plugins such as recent visitor, recent posts, top commentator and some other plugins have literally killed the server load for the blog. If you know, the blog is somewhat growing at a steady pace and with growth comes other issues (with spam being problematic at times) as well as the problem of server overload.
Hence, the plugins are removed and expect the sidebar to be further reduced to a more manageable size. That said, in 2 weeks time on 9th July, I will abandon the blog for 2 weeks or so. This is due to the fact that I am going to fly over to the United States to meet up with my wifey, Thirteensugars. Yes, I am abandoning the blog for girl power, but who can blame me?
We also need a new blogger, and I am hopeful to find an episodic summary blogger, even better if he/she is a raw watcher. If anyone out there is keen, just email us at that@animeblogger.net with a sample of your writing. To add, we also welcome other genres of writers to come in too. If you do not get it, it means the more the merrier, as long as you can write well and frequently. I am just hoping to find a new writer, since many of our bloggers have fallen out due to real life constraints before I go on for my extended hiatus. Read Crusader’s post below for more information as he is likely the one choosing, alongside Lupus and Shokkeru in my absence!
On life, I have just graduated from university, and will be moving on to the life of an academic as I have accepted the teaching scholarship to study under my university as a Master’s student. If anyone is wondering how well I did, I am proud to say that I have achieved First class honors for my studies, and I will also be interviewed by the national free newspaper for a feature on some of the outstanding/interesting university graduands of this year. I might post the newspaper article up, maybe not.

Let the Occupation Begin!
Well my University has seen it fit to make me a super senior, so Impz has beat me yet again. Nevertheless I will be at the beck and call of Master, so if poor Impz gets held up by DHS for being trappy you will all be notified, otherwise I’ll be the one to escort him to GTMO. Hopefully Impz won’t be too overwhelmed by his limited exposure to America. Also this is a great opportunity for us yanks to catch the bugger on camera…
Also I will be the one plowing through the e-mails and adding folks to the blogroll during the interim period. A job I WAS volunteered to do. Master will be otherwise occupied with…things that couples do. Uh, yeah… Pray that I don’t screw up. Please.
In regards to our latest marshaling of new writers, we are accepting more than one in a series of categories though not limited to fig reviews, episode summary, anime related game reviewer, Japanese cultural enthusiast, artist, and anything else anime related. Last but certainly not least here are the rules:
1. No pornographic content, sorry freedom of speech is limited here and if you disagree I’ll throw you under a tank. Metaphorically of course.
2. We will be accepting eroge and hentai series reviews as part of our liberal polices under the condition that all visuals are not pornographic in nature and in reasonably good taste (defined as you’d show your parents/guardians this picture too).
3. Any figure review posts are advised to keep it civil, i.e. anything else than the figure bodily fluids, and/or reproductive appendages shall be deleted. Don’t ask why you don’t want to know…
4. We will be more lenient on the raw watchers, depending on how desperate Impz is.
5. English must be passable, so no egregious errors, or Faulkner-like run ons in excess.
6. Have fun.
7. Deadline is set at June 30, 2007.
To those who feel up to the task best of luck and I look forward to seeing your work.

@Drm: It is perhaps sad but I have to inform you that most of my writers have suffered from the terminal disease of real life ownage. The symptoms of this very vile disease includes doing tons of things in reality without any time to do anything else, sleeping early and not coming online.

@Seleria: Thank you T_T I prefer not to have a sausage fest and get a female, but to be truly honest, I do not really care whether what sex or genre the new writer will be. As long as he/she can write, it works for me.
@Alym: To correct matters just a little bit, she is my girlfriend rather than wifey (I like to call her that). I might be blogging despite a lot of evil distraction by Wifey on Saiunkoku Monogatari but do not really count on it since it might be somewhat problematic for me to continue.
@Ronin: I have to get that master’s degree and aced it without any failure, so thank you for that. Yes, the female blogging population is currently being eaten up as we speak by GAR aliens that know nothing about the sensitive and sensual writing of females. Why!!!

I only watch raws if I’m completely addicted to a show. Like Ghost Hunt or Saiunkoku Monogatari. I did start watching the raws for Shippuden, but now I’m over the excited YAY its here thing. I’m quite happy to wait for the sub.

Aside from what has been said already, you’re going to America? Which part? If you’re going to San Francisco, then we would live like a half-hour from each other assuming that I’m driving fast.
I’d be part of the blog, but I’m already juggling too many things like my own blog and some other stuff. Right now, I’m going to leave for Long Beach tomorrow because of Anime Expo. Then, I’m going to a baseball game and prepare for an early party. I’m about to be an editor soon as well.
