Wow, it is really rare to see a period where all bloggers of THAT Anime Blog are so busy, but I guess that this is the actual scenario right now. From my knowledge, Crusader is getting killed with gunshots with his real life endeavors (he’s the military man after all), I am getting swallowed by lolis passing tons of paperwork over my poor head, Briar hindered by news-chasing tabloid antics, while Lupus and Shokkeru are eaten up by the “I-cannot-write-to-save-my-life” metabug. So, that is the reason why the blog is rather quiet the past two days. That is, if you are wondering how these bloody lazy bloggers are not writing at all.
On a completely different (and non-depressing note), if there is any harem stereotype that is the fan favorite, it must be the tsundere. No, even though many of you might suspect this statement, my favorite harem stereotype is not loli simply because the tsundere possesses many endearing qualities that cannot be rivaled by a loli. It is also really logical to state that my girlfriend (despite separated by two continents) is a true blue real life tsundere. Hence, as a sit in for a post before my next post on Ookiku Furikabette episode 24, this is a short poll for you.
Do you like real life tsunderes?
P/S: To those who are wondering about what will happen to Satoko, my nephew took a liking for it. I gave it to him. Before you think I did a good deed, I like to remind all that the percentage of toys that my 6 year old nephew breaks within 3 weeks after playing with it (and figurines being a soft fragile thing) is close to 70%.
Have fun.

wow wait! what happened to the previous poll?! are you gonna burn that bitch-I mean the doll thingy. according to the result you SHOULD!
@Gasoline: Read the p/s
I am sure you will be happy with the result.
perosnally I like the tsun more than the dere XD
Hope your nephew had fun
Can males be tsundere? XD
I am a sucker for tsundere.
hopes satoko lives in a better place.
Of course males can be tsundere. Go watch Nodame Cantabile.
I’m not sure a real life tsundere would actually work. Nobody is going to put up with the abuse of one.
Lol who doesn’t love tsunderes? =P
@Faye: Seriously? In real life? I am not too sure about that. The last time my silly girlfriend ignored me by deliberately hanging up/ignoring my long distance calls, it really made me go O_O. She’s now a dere-dere currently. If you are wondering, yes, it is thirteensugars, the infrequent commentator and blogger that sometimes invades these shores.
From what I last heard, my nephew has not destroyed Satoko. I just shipped it two weeks ago, and he received it the last week though, so I have no clue what will happen to it.
@Lenners: Why not? It’s sad that it becomes a female thing. If a male tries to dere dere….it’s *bad mental image*. It feels wrong, very wrong.
@Shia: Living in a better place? I don’t think so. No, I am sending it to hell.
@Anne: But i did. That said, my girlfriend has just threatened me via skype that she is gonna whoop my arse for calling her a tsundere in my blog. I guess she is in tsun-tsun mode now T_T
@chraen: THE WORD, MY FRIEND, THE WORD.
Weirdly enough, I don’t actually like tsunderes. I suppose I’m too emotionally fragile (relatively speaking, of course) to really enjoy the tsun-tsun part of it.
That, and I tend to take everything at face value, so I usually can’t tell if the tsundere is being dishonest to herself, or really hates me.
Speaking theoretically, of course; it’s not like I’ve even met any unattached women recently, by which I mean the last seven years.
eh?? so thirteen sugars is your girlfriend?? I was always under the impression YOU were 13 sugars, masquerading under a false name (since everyone says impz is a trap XD)and 13 sugars sounds like a name a girl would pick XD
I would think it’s a problem of perspective. In an anime or manga you can easily tell whether someone is a tsundere or an arse because you have a god-like perspective. Like the so many ideas that work great in fiction, tsundere can hardly work unless you know this person for a long time. For example, it’s often extremely hilarious to watch people having a verbal fight in fiction but the same real-life experience can be quite stressful and depressing simply because it does not happen for entertainment and “the next scene” won’t resolve it. In a way, that’s what fiction is all about: Enjoying things that just wouldn’t work in reality. I’m not sure I’ve ever met a “tsundere” in real-life, what comes closest are choleric persons which I might be a bit of myself. While an outbreak can sometimes be funny, in the long-run having to deal with these people tends to get tiresome if they don’t grow out of it.
Saying hi from said news-chasing tabloid antics!
You know, I don’t really know what a tsundere is (I do have a vague idea from all the tsundere-loving vibes coming from both bloggers and commentors
), so I went to check on wiki.
“Tsundere is a Japanese term for a personality that is initially combative, but becomes loving and emotionally vulnerable. Tsundere is the antonym of yandere where a person is initially loving, then combative, often brutally so. The definition of the term has evolved to apply to not only characters who change from harsh to gentle but who are cold on the outside and kind internally.”
I see. Ok, I do like this kind of characters after all. Though I’m not enamoured by the lame violence they inflict on the male characters. I find it blatantly derogatory to the idea of feminism, although others don’t seem to think the same.
well , impz, at least shes not with teppei “impz” anymore. And I really dont know why i like tsun girls over dere dere ones. I find them cuter.
To put up a real life tsundere, you’ll need a bit of M side (^_^;). Depending on the definition used (whether the person is only dere2 once you get to his/her good side, or whether the person is still tsundere after then), many abusive spouses can be categorized as tsundere (this is very extreme of course). As anime char, tsundere is ok, but in reality, I prefer normal boring people.
