This isn’t Shana. Notice she doesn’t have a melon-pan.
Some mangas are missleading. For example, Elfen Lied manga looks dreadful at the first sight but his subpar artwork is offuscated by the storyline and appeal of the characters. Others, like 666 Satan, looks like a decent shounen but it reveals itself at a lame clone of Naruto with jumbled with a broken coherency.
So, what to say of a manga that looks like Hentai but infact it isn’t Hentai? We have a guy called Amakawa Yuuto who lives alone and has a nasty cat allergy, that when he reaches his 16th birthday, earns an ecchii samurai cat girl spirit bodyguard to protect him that speaks in ancient Japanese dialect and want to hump him madly? And let’s not forget that the mangaka’s previous works were all Hentai…
Warning: Extreme Ecchii pics after the jump.
Ecchii Samurai Cat Girl Spirit Bodyguard…and there is still room for more fetishes.
A short summary of the plot: Seven years ago, Amakawa Yuuto’s parents died leaving him living alone without a single relative. Ever since then, his childhood friend, Kuzaki Rinko, has waken him up, cooked for him and generally taken care of him. The only thing he has from any relative is a mysterious charm, a red ball, given to him by his grandparents as a good luck charm (an omamori).
Poems kill.
On the day of his 16th birthday, this charm mysteriously disappears, and into Yuuto’s life walks Himari. A cat spirit-samurai girl and demon hunter who swears to protect Yuuto. There is only one small problem. Yuuto has a severe allergic reaction to cats!
The plot then revolves around Yuuto, Himari ( the cat girl) and a whole cast of harem girls including a childhood friend, a mizuchi (water spirit), a english tea service spirit (don’t ask) and a whole bunch of demons trying to kill Yuuto, since he is the last descendant of one of the 12 demon hunting families.
Danger: This manga can make you nosebleed to death
One of the strong points of the manga is the balance between story, fanservice and comedy relief. The typical shonen plot is good enough to generate appealing story elements, the humor isn’t exagerated and the fanservice doesn’t flood the pages. But be careful, as I said before, the mangaka’s experience comes from drawing Hentai and it reflects on the fanservice and poses the girls assume.
She is always glad to help her master.
The art itself is solid and consistent, but that is expected nowadays; the action scenes are fluid and attractive; in general, has the normal qualities any manga should have.
A Cat is Fine Too
I won’t lie, one of the reasons I read this is because the ecchii scenes, but I don’t judge the manga just with that factor alone. It’s all the other good points combined with this that makes it enjoyable to read. The worse part is this being serialized in Dragon Age, a monthly magazine, which can deter some readers. But I’ll keep reading, since I like the sarcastical attitude of Mizuchi and her loli look ( even when she has that drowned body look).
…I have no comments…

Should have said “thine cat art fine too.”
Wait did you say more fetishes? Rule 34 is scary…
I adore this manga. The artwork is so good. He definately knows how to draw girls, especially since he is also an H-Artist lol. However, I Think he’s starting to slack off. The artwork gets slightly worse and worse each new volume
hey… uhm.. where can I d/l this H-Manga? Wow………… I love that last manga scanlation… my goodness… XD
@rollchan: That’s the thing…..it isn’t Hentai…just borderline ecchii. But yeah, that page with Mozuchi makes me go 0.0
Extrange-sama!!!! Can I call you master? LOL!!!! My goodness, I’ve downloaded chap.14 thanks to TokTosh. And now, I’m a fan of it! Thanks for the share Sensei!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow that good (not in the sense you think). I read the first 14 chapters today and I’ll be keeping an rss feeder on this one!
@rollchan: Sensei? -.-Y TECHNICALY, I really am a sensei…
Anyway, i’m glad you guys liked the manga.
good manga just wait in about two chapters he will get another member for his harem.lol
@shadowlancer: Already read that part. It was a expected cliche that was missing, but oh well, the Goth loli fans will like her :-p
Looking beautiful, thanks Extrange ^^
@Extrange-sensei: cool!
Ah yes, this series. I used to follow it way back, but I totally forgot about it until now. Thanks for reminding me :3
you may want to also read My Balls manga…much more ecchi, ok i admit soft porn level performance but has lots of comedy and silliness too.
I very much prefer borderline hentai/ecchi rather than all out eroge. There’s more of a “comedy-factor” in most stories which follow such, あまえないでよAMAENAIDEYO being my favourite at the moment. There’s even two seasons of anime of that!
Dragon Age? I am struggling to support my monthly purchases of Dengeki Daio, Comptiq and CompuAce already =( I don’t think I can afford one more. Still, I’ll be looking out for this, thanks for the review!
Seriously tempted. I really could use a bit more ecchi in my life.
?
What the!!!!!!
What the name of this seris? … you know so i can find it and read it
… Never mind
I have to say, when i read through this the first time, I really couldn’t care… but then i started getting a feeling of emptiness, so i checked it out, i have to say, i am very pleased with the manga, so glad i stumbled on this, thanks a bunch.
bitin xa>….
Maybe there should be a part on fakku only for H-less manga. Something like, um. You know there are chategories like english, japanese, newest. Now there should be a section like .normal. To avoid fags bitchin. about no hentai.
hm, ive seen the anime version of it, and was disapointed…that there were only 12 episodes made for such an awesome idea! then i started reading the maga and noticed that there was a ot of stuff left out
made me happy that there was more to find out about the story
