Yes mein Noe, fly I will.
Sorry for the lateness of this post I had to run about to a dental appointment and then do tech support for my cousin. Nevertheless my glorious Noe is having a rough time and at times I just had to stop mid way and mull things over. While there are those who would say that the Hiromi momentum is nigh unstoppable the Noe occupation of Shin’s thoughts is undeniable and at this point it can swing either way though the Hiromi momentum has seriously stalled in this episode. At this point Noe is poised to crush the Hiromi salient and end the battle for Shin-chan’s heart. As it stands things look grim for Hiromi…

Yep Noe’s red seeds, not Hiromi’s.

You know even Kanae looks more radiant without the hate and jealousy, much more dignified in this version. That or Shin has been promoting Kanae far too well.
First off the Mugiha festival was splendidly done. It did look pretty didn’t it? I never could have imagined that PA Works would animate that much of the hat dance, but just as well since it was a sight to behold. I never could have imagined based on Shin-chan and his fellow dancers using air hats. It was also kind of cute how both Hiromi and Shin-chan were all dolled up in traditional garb. Still it seems that the Nakagamis are indeed local magnates as Shin-chan is on the fast track to succeed his dad. I also like how they named the sake Tears of the Three Views, and how taste and price will make us cry tears of joy.
So Noe and Shin-chan do not even talk at all during the course of this episode and yet every other thought Shin-chan has is about Noe, and while we remain uncertain as to whether of not Shin-chan will return Noe’s affection Noe has easily supplanted Hiromi as the greatest influence on his life. Noe did not cast Jibeta off to his death and I for one let off a sigh of relief. While Noe’s once piercing gaze revealed the inner hearts of all, now it seems that her talent was not what it once was and the wounding of her shoujo kokoro has done much to erode her confidence. Still I am glad that Noe has come away with a better understanding of Jibeta and how moving forward is just as good as flying. Jibeta is most wise. It would also seem that Shin-chan has come on strong for Noe as demonstrated when Noe was the one he fixed his gaze upon, and add to the fact that he tried to ward off Hiromi when he was getting dressed it would seem that Shin-chan is not all too eager to jump in with Hiromi now. Shin wants to know what Noe said to Jibeta and he want to know what she thinks, if his precious art book is his greatest achievement thus far then why share it with Noe first? It seems that what Noe thinks and what Noe says is of great importance to Shin-chan, while Hiromi hardly gets consideration this time around.

So certain are we?

You have taken your first step into a larger world.
I do not think that it is strange given how much influence Noe has had on Shin-chan and I do think that it could be the basis for a relationship. I doubt Shin-chan knows who precisely is in his heart and while Noe keeps telling herself that it is Hiromi, her powers are but a shadow of what they once were and Noe admits to not knowing anything regarding the true feelings of Hiromi, Jun, and Shin. The thing that kind trips my internal klaxon for me with regards to Hiromi is that she is still hung up on the past rather than moving forward. Her taking off her sandal and saying “don’t leave me behind” really emphasized how she wasn’t wholly moving forward, but rather trying desperately to reclaim what she and Shin-chan once shared. Shin-chan seems to have his inner flame rekindled by thinking about Noe and seeing her again. Shin-chan has finished his book and is prepared to finally make good on doing the right thing. However Hiromi seems to long for simpler times and she may well end up chasing the Shin-chan of her memories.

Well I guess a sad Hiromi is fine too.

…art plentiful Hiromi-chan. So stop rubbing your ability to cry in Noe’s face you meanie.
In any case it would seem that Hiromi and Aiko were good fiends and yet before the coming of Noe neither made a move on Shin-chan with any sense of urgency until Noe came along. Funny how we can try and discount the potential of Noe and Shin when both Aiko and Hiromi were motivated to make their much delayed confessions once Noe showed up. Cleary both see Noe as a viable girlfriend for Shin-chan. Hiromi’s confrontation amply demonstrated how much Hiromi feared Noe’s grip on Shin-chan’s heart. I doubt Hiromi would have begged Noe to leave them alone if Hiromi felt confident that Shin-chan loved her. While Hiromi may lack our knowledge that Noe has done nothing at all Hiromi still remains fearful that Shin-chan may yet choose Noe.

You will buy this lot of Aiko Imagawayaki. You want 12. Here’s the money. Here’s a tip. Good Day. (See Nobuse is a master Jedi he did not even need to wave his hands.)

You do not have control of your fear, Kanae has taught you poorly. Now release your tears only your desperation can stall Noe.
Speaking of Aiko she looks much more radiant now that she is with Nobuse again. Gone is the uncertainty and desperation of Aiko past. I am really glad Aiko has moved on, and while Shirukii laments that Aiko did not go off on her own, and Kabitzin doubts her relevance, keep in mind that Aiko did have a purpose. To show how a real man (Nobuse) won his girl back. As sidekicks go Nobuse is far better than that useless lout Sunohara from Clannad, and is much more capable of garnering sympathy by not acting like a complete ass. Nobuse has earned his stripes and is now happily mitigating complaints about his beloved Aiko’s masterpieces.

Impressive.

Most impressive.

O_0 (Notice how Noe stopped smiling when Jun kissed her cheek)
Now that Jun has made his confession it is clear that his actions not only stemmed from wanting to see Noe happy, but it was also a means for him to let go of his beloved Noe. You have to feel for the guy who while being utterly ruthless (he was also being very polite too) nonetheless was doing his utmost to suppress his feelings. While the same can be said of Hiromi, Jun did not have a Kanae class obstacle to make good on his feelings, and that must have taken great strength of character. Had Jun been Stripey he would have leapt on Noe long ago rather than endure years of anguish at not being able to love the one in your heart. I cannot help but wonder if Jun and Noe will reconcile since Noe was genuinely shocked by Jun’s feelings. I really hope they come to terms and can be brother and sister again even if Jun has to move out. I really want Jun to be able love some one wholly and truly even if Noe can’t love her dearest onii-chan like that I am sure Tomoyo would be more than ready to step in, though if Mugiha no. 4 claims Hotarugawa no. 4 for her own I will not complain.

I just love the way Noe ties her scarf.

Like any good Jedi Noe is able to run long distances without breaking a sweat.
Noe has tried ever so hard to try and forget about Shin-chan and in the end she could not forget about him. When Hiromi confronted her Noe tried to stay home but she could not. Now that Jun is about to leave her and armed with the belief that Hiromi is the one In Shin-chan’s heart, Noe probably jumped off that tree to prove to herself that she can stand alone. After all in every case before Noe jumped off the tree where she first met Shin-chan she needed him to break her fall. Noe’s safety net is gone and if Noe is to be able to move on with her life she has to be able to operate alone. Now that Noe is convinced that Shin-chan is leaving her Noe probably felt that she had to be able to make that leap of faith. As Noe said before if she could fly, she could also forget. That is why she jumped that is why she loves Shin-chan more than Hiromi. Noe took so many great pains to let Shin-chan go and it seems that it has all been in vain. If Noe can land on her own then Noe can and will go on with her life and for get Shin-chan on Noe Power alone. While that dastardly Tanuki claims that Hiromi has maximum love for Shin-chan Hiromi has only demonstrated her love mostly in the form of jealousy, Noe on the other hand has actively tried to let Shin-chan go without the passive-aggressive attacks on her rivals.

A happy Hiromi is a lovely Hiromi.

You’re doing it wrong…
Hiromi’s desperation clearly indicates that the HiromixShin end is in serious doubt and the odds are pretty much even given how both are mentioned in Shin’s internal monologues. It would seem to me that Hiromi is trying to entrench herself as Shin-chan’s girlfriend despite the fact that there has been no confession on his part. It’s almost as if Hiromi wants to convince herself that this is indeed the case, but nonetheless she still sees Noe as a threat and rival. Such was Hiromi’s fixation on the Noe threat that Hiromi missed much of Shin’s dance while she glared at Noe, whose attention was focused on Shin-chan. I suspect that Hiromi’s inability to confront Shin-chan about it is because she herself is afraid of the answer she might get. If Noe had never entered Shin-chan’s life then she could have been certain, but now Noe’s legacy to Shin-chan seems much grander than the impression Hiromi had made on Shin all those years past. Hiromi says that they can be honest and see eye to eye now, but I don’t think that they have been honest given that Hiromi kept her doubts to herself and tried to get Noe to back off without Shin-chan’s prior knowledge. Hiromi’s actions tell me that while she has changed in some ways she is still very much beholden to her old shoe gambit. Hiromi claims that things are going great and that Noe has to leave them alone. I think that Hiromi knows that she needs to stall Noe and buy as much time as possible to make up for the time she lost. Given how Shin-chan was kind of blowing her off about watching him dance Hiromi has every reason to doubt Shin’s love for her. Shin-chan even lied about where he was going after his number ended.

I take it that Shin will stare at Noe properly from now on, and by properly I mean lovingly.

Kurogane gets a cameo! Doesn’t he look adorable? I always knew that the crybaby was a shouta. (No offense Kuro Impz told me to say I swear) ![]()
I trust that Noe is okay because a little fall like that is nothing for my glorious Noe. In fact I am sure that she will be more than able to earn her jump wings when she becomes a paratrooper. For then Noe will not only be able to fly but also land on her own two feet as well. Besides the snow and shrubbery will save her. Yes my heart did stop there for a moment, but I banished the thought of harm coming to Noe in almost an instant. So fear not comrades Noe is a tough otome and I am sure she has Fallschirmjager blood. At any rate another outstanding episode where PA Works has again left the audience stunned and confused about how this will all play out in the end. I am for a NoexShin pairing, but if Hiromi can forgo the jealousy then I will accept her victory. Though I want to salt that blasted sea slug with his own tears for mocking Noe.
That being said I hope Noe lands safely upon the Shin’s first confession.

Given the fact that I’ve never been a shipper, I was a little surprised by the sudden turn of events, this late in the story. I’m interested on whether or not Noe’s actions will influence Shin’s final decision, if ever.
Oh, and was I the only one that isn’t a certain striped tanuki who was bothered by Jun’s display of ‘affection’? Yeaargh.
Ah, I still cling to my Noe ending. Even if Shin doesn’t choose her, she better have a happy end D:
You managed to point all the ShinxHiromi “moments” that make me dislike this pairing. At this point, there’s no dialogue between them, no understanding. Look at how he told her she didn’t have to watch him dance (while thinking about Noe coming to the festival), or how he lied to her about going to Noe. Hiromi’s the one doing all the work and she’s trying hard to save their relationship, be it by claiming she is the girlfriend, telling Noe to leave them alone or pitifully reenacting a childhood memory.
And I actually don’t mind Hiromi’s flaws. True it makes her human…except she shouldn’t display them toward the end, showing that she didn’t mature at all. Thus it makes me root less for her.
Also, it’s funny how Noe now appears to be the one who has nothing to rely on: she never had friends because of her excentric nature, her parents are absent and her dear brother just abandoned her (and I feel for Jun, it was a great scene). On the other hand, Hiromi now has a better relationship with her mother/family, has her basketball passion and some friends.
In the end, I just want to hug Noe.
Had those lips made contact, I would have smashed my keyboard in a fit of rage like a certain German adolescent. That, and if I don’t get my Noe True End next week.
Also, I guess just like fine sake, Shin’s mom improves with age. I want to taste her so badly right now…
Noe is simply magnificent. Also, it seems as though Shin-chan is finally starting to make decisions on his own. At last!
NoexShin will triumph and then we shall celebrate!
..and now I actually want to see glorious Noe giving Jun the kiss he longs for. Would that not be the most breathtaking parting gift?
I hath ranted to you already.
Still, I’m gonna be in the group of people who throws their keyboard and stomps around the room if Shin x Noe doesn’t happen.
I like this observation! I really can’t wait to find out what happens to Noe and Hiromi, and it would be totally awesome if we could get alternate OVA endings too (just to please everyone). It really speaks to the writing that I can’t wait to find out what happens to almost every character (even Jibeta).
I’m glad Miyokichi is happy, but Aiko has him totally whipped. He is probably happy to be ditched selling bad food to help Aiko, though. I was wrong about Jun’s tears being able to bring back Noe, so I guess it really has to be a caring Shinichiro who gives Noe back her tears.
Maybe if Jun had eaten a mint beforehand, Noe would have given him a real kiss.
True Tears has been one hell of a ride. First, episode 7 riled up the Noe/Hiromi fanbase war. Then ep 10 made it look like Hiromi ftw, then in ep 12 Noe comes back with a NO U!
I can’t wait for Sunday ;_;
> I just love the way Noe ties her scarf.
I tried tying my scarf like Jun does, kinda like how you would knot a tie, makes you look like a tool. More evidence yet that anime does not mesh well into reality.
im ashamed to say that hiromi looks like a slut in this episode >_>
im ashamed to say that hiromi looks like a slut in this episode
Seconded. I am not ashamed to say it though o/
Noe the moe falls down the cute little tree. GO, NOE. SIEG NOE! I do not know why but the whisper in the wind is telling me to hate on Hiromi. I am supposed to be liking her since she cleaned up her act but I am getting more and more annoyed at her after Episode 8. Bah!
@Shin: It’s your light now that I see Shin’s mother in a completely different light. This is wrong, just wrong.
A rather surprising turn of events…
I thought that the episode will only show signs of Noe winning/losing…
But, something worse happened instead..
True Tears sure knows how to surprise us..
Can’t wait for next week..
Wow just wow.
It’s all still in the air! There’s no clear resolution in sight. I’m excited as much as I’m impressed!
Way to work it out, PA Works. It’s been a hell of a ride!
if it’s NoexShin then we would have an Epic Win of a show.
Noe will win. The victory goes not to the false drama whore Hiromi, but to the master of philosophy and life, Noe.
When everything said and done, Noe is true love and one of best character ever.
I usually don’t care for Shin, but well, he just proved how serious he was with Noe here. So he’s not that bad now. I mean, Raigomaru and Shin just flew for Noe in this episode haha I think my curve ball is as good as mine. My gut feeling from watching bajillion of shows like this tells me it’s a Noe ending.
And notice how the writers are making Hiromi act like the bad guy, here? It’s over for her. lolz But anyway, it’s not like ShinxNoe came out of the blue therefore inconsistent with the story–like others claim. Just like other people were saying in other blogs, Shin’s commitment to his picturebook reflects his bond with Noe. And I say the picturebook–Shin’s inner sanctuary–is pretty major compared to Hiromi’s drama. I think people fail to notice that at first glance, but Noe really influences Shin in a big way ever since he met her, more so than Hiromi. As for Hiromi? What has she done for Shin anyway? Cry true tears and cling. All she did was give Shin problems so that Noe can help him lol Noe’s the one who lifts Shin all throughout the episode. Noe supports Shin, Shin supports Hiromi. However, after seeing this episode, I’m totally convinced we’re in for a change. True Tears is not going to be your average one-track harem show, it’s gonna fly. ^.^/* Like I said, Raigomaru just flew. Shin is basically at Noe’s command here.
Besides, the “don’t leave me behind” trump card of Hiromi is getting annoying. I don’t think it’ll work if she pulls that on Shin. From what I see, the change in Shin’s attitude towards Hiromi was definitely not cuz he was feeling guilt for Noe. That was confusion turned to enlightenment during the Mugiha dance. One thing is for sure though, just as Hiromi’s issue “the you inside me that’s always crying” was resolved in ep 10, Noe’s issue with her tears are going to be resolved in ep 13. The finale ^.^
Notice that when Shin asked her out, she said she felt like crying? She’ll cry true tears next episode. I’m so not backing down on this. I heart Noe.
@Myssa Rei
Aww…come on even you have to say that Jun at least deserves a farewell kiss from his bleoved Noe for all that he has done, maybe not a lips kissu, but a kissu nonetheless. I am sure Noe has influence over Shin he’s even starting to act weird like visiting a Jibeta (Nobuse) for no good reason.
@eurys
I will believe in Noe’s happiness until the very end, for it is not over until Noe cries. I admit there are times I want to hug Noe for being the glorious person that she is. Hiromi’s victory is not set in stone nor is the turn of events shocking or surprising given the limited amount of ShinxHiromi honest talk things seem to be unravelling as their past is not as great as the future.
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe!
@Shin
Yes a Noe end would be superb. Though I think that Kanae was merely spoiled by the vinegar of jealousy that made her taste so bad. Now that that is no longer an issue Kanae is definitely of a good Nakagami vintage.
@Myu
Yes Noe must give Jun-nii a goodbye kissu.
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe!
@rieuzedx
Yes I am sure that by now Shin has manned up for Noe. It was Now who took an uncertain Shin and reforged him into the the great Mugiha dancer that he is Hiromi has not given Shin support, she just stood there pining away. This stunning reverse has been coming for sometime with Hiromi its always the same, but with Noe Shin always seems to grow.
@Kabitzin
You could always pretend that True Tears ended at episode 10…Yeah its amazing how we all know nothing and have to go on gut instincts and sheer determination to believe. True Tears is truly excellent.
@Shirukii
Sunday Sunday! I can’t wait they should have made this a 1 hour special…
Even if it looks silly in RL Noe makes things Moe…I want her to cry for joy. Otherwise I hope the employee gives her a sip of Tears of the Three Views, taste and price that will make you cry tears of joy.
@Danny
Indeed the taint of jealousy is most unbecoming and makes Hiromi a flawed Hiromi.
@Impz
Hiromi will clean up her act, but it might be too late by the time that happens.
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe!
@Setsukyie
Yes after all that we still have no idea how this is going to play out. Sunday needs to run faster and get here sooner.
@serial
This has been a fun ride, now for the final corkscrew on this roller coaster…
@Leviahan DarklyCute
Noe has reversed the situation and brought the Hiromi advance to a grinding halt at the gates of destiny. Victory shall go to the otome who is prepared to act with daring. Hiromi is bold, but Noe is daring.
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe!
Blah, Hiromi was too desperate in this episode and Noe … well … I just feel sorry for her. I can’t tell if Shinichirou’s gonna end up with anyone or maybe he’s going to end up alone for the rest of his life.

Okay, throughout this entire episode Hiromi seriously looked like a much prettier and younger version of Kanae. I mean, maybe it’s because of the lipstick or Hiromi’s hair being tied back, but I swear they bore some kind of resemblance to each other..especially when Hiromi confronted Noe in the street. The look that she had on her face totally reminded me of all the dirty, indifferent and unforgiving looks Kanae gave Hiromi the whole season…I mean maybe it’s just me, but Hiromi is pretty much acting the same way Kanae had acted — selfish and desperate. Both of them knew exactly what they were doing, knew that it was wrong and selfish — and I understand that both characters have redeemed themselves quite a lot..but I can seriously see Hiromi grow up to be a Kanae if she doesn’t end up with Shin (which would be sad, but hey she really hasn’t grown or moved on from the past..compared to the rest of cast she lacks real character development and growth and in this episode she’s practically redoing all the growing that she had accomplished throughout the show).
Anyway, i’m rooting for a NOE ending. It needs to happen!!!
Dental appointment + having to do tech support? I feel sorry for you.
At the end when Shin was dancing I could see that even though he was dancing and it seemed as if he saw no one he was actually looking at NOE! YEA Yoop Yoop! I love that paring^^ Anyways my heart stopped a beat when Noe fell from the tree as soon as Shin found her…*GASPS
The entire Hiromi + Shin relationship hasn’t really had much depth. They had a single memory as children at a festival, and then after that, Shin himself says they were “classmates and casual friends”. That’s not really much of a relationship. Whereas in ep12 Shin is thinking about how Noe has had an effect on him, a way more drastic one than Hiromi ever did, in my opinion. Plus there’s the whole thing about the dishonesty between them. Anyways I’m still rooting for a Noe ending.
Crusader was right after all. Jun has the hots on his imouto, Noe. hehe.
and… what’s up with Hiromi? Is she the Sekai Saionji of True Tears? Wanting Shin’ichiro all by herself?
I can’t wait for another… NICE BOAT!
thanks for the post.
@Blissimo
Hiromi is desperate now, and if Noe wins she might just hit rock bottom despite all the things that have turned for the better in her life. Some people just want to have their cake and eat it too…
If Shin blows them both off it be a real surprise, considering how deaperately Hiromi wants to have his babies.
@Goldie
Yeah Hiromi takes after her step mum rather than her real mum. It be funny if Noe was Mrs. Yuasa reborn…
@bakaneko
Thanks I it was a pain.
@ClariCANDYXD
Yeah my heart stopped, but Noe is fine Noe is tough, and Noe will be victorious! I am leaning towards a Noe end simply because Shin only had eye for Noe.
@Theowne
I agree that te only card Hiromi ever held was the childhood friend card. We shall see if Noe has an ace up her sleeve with Inspiration and Flying. Noe Forever.
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe.
@rollchan
Hey don’t say things like that no one going to knife anyone you hear me. Itou is dead long may he rot headless in his grave.
NOE IS MOE. SIEG NOE!
Not calling ANYTHING. If I let my hopes run away with me I only set myself up for a huge crushing disappointment if it goes the other way, and that wouldn’t be fair to the show if I had a negative view of a well written show just because glorious Noe wasn’t the endgirl.
But neither is Hiromi in any way shape or form set in stone. There is so much of this story that could be pointing to a Noe ending.
And that’s why I love this show. It keeps you guessing even at the penultimate episode, and I can honestly say that either ending could be one worth watching and be enjoyable.
NOE IS MOE. SIEG NOE!
sigh… why does everyone like Noe more than Hiromi?
And why does everyone think that Shin deserve any of the girls in the story? He’s so ignorant and slow…
Don’t wonder asdf. You’ll only end up confused. Much how many Noe fans can’t quite see why so many people like a character as intrinsically flawed as Hiromi.
Either way, at this point it’s not about Shin “deserving” anyone. You can’t deserve love, and stupid harem leads is nothing new, but we want our chosen girl to end up happy, even if that means ending up with slow ignorant Shin.
Noe may have won, but all her suffering seems to point to her dying and thus release from suffering. I do fear what will become of Noe. Your optimistic concluding comments were humourously comforting, nonetheless. So, thanks.
Everyone knows chickens can’t fly!
@Dirian
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe!
@asdf
Cheering for Noe is its own purpose. You do not ask why otaku fap, or traps are now moe. Do not ask why Noe is Moe. She just is.
@Youko
Noe will survive!
Noe is Moe. Sieg Noe!
@totali
They can, but only a short distance making it more of a flight assisted hop. they still do get more air that Jordan.
in the next episode, I’m hoping Noe will regain her lost sight, once Shin showers her with the love she so deserves. Once Noe wakes up from the prince’s kiss(?) or confession, I’m hoping that it’ll turn into a momentous romantic event, with two people realizing their true hearts, which belongs to no one else but to each other XD
You know, I HATE when a character is madly in love with a girl throughout the entirety of a series, and in the end he chooses the other girl in a sudden change of heart, very fucking anti-climatic and CLICHE.
I found the torrent to the RAW version of the True Tears Episode 13…here is the link:
