Alt, I am with you. I used to think she was cute in episode 1. Now I hate her. You can see it has Mikhail all over the “battle plan”. She cockblocked Sherly man, dude I am furious. Alto should have had Sherly not Ranka. I hate her now its war.
hahaha, the sheryl lovers on the huge hate of Ranka. Well, the problem with me is that I like an Alto x Sheryl pairing more, but I like Ranka for her green hair. I mean, her wink just melts my heart ^^

@Luke: Actually, it was a combination of Michael and Nanase’s efforts that made life difficult for Sheryl on the relationship front, rather than Ranka directly. Ranka didn’t really intentionally do anything, herself; she was lead by the hand by Nanase in the same way that Michael instructed Alto on what to do. What Sheryl lacks right now is the support of friendship, and in this episode, it really shows.
Don’t blame Ranka. That’s just as bad as the people who were blaming Sheryl for “plotting against Ranka” over the past few episodes or so. What happened to Sheryl here, and what happened to Ranka earlier, are just examples of how “bad things can happen to good people”. And in all honesty, I think that Sheryl had a far greater emotional impact this episode by the way she tried to be strong for Alto’s sake than she could possibly have had by holding yet another concert a la episode seven. While painful, her determination was still magnificent to watch.

Of course,i like Sheryl,because she is a WOMAN.Don´t take me wrong,you can find me drooling over cute lolis,but Ranka is waaaay to far childish for my tastes,in various aspects.Of course,the fact that i prefer Sheryl over Ranka is not based in mi hate for the green one.Sheryl realy understands Alto-hime,as a friend and as a man.She did not backstab Ranka,nor conspired in any kind of level.She just play her cards acording to every situation.It enrages me that the time alone she got with Alto is “stolen” like this.
Well,it´s up to alto.Let´s hope he does like Shinichiro of true tears who chose a woman over a kid.

YAY! I’m joining as well! I’ll bring the Ranka-chan candy, shirts, hats, wigs, and bottled water >.< KYA! She is so freakin awesome and Sheryl can’t do the wink that she does. Anyways Ranka is still young so her body is still developing so stop comparing her to Sheryl who only relies on her voice, body, and nagging ways. I was truly getting tired of seeing Ranka as the underdog but hey she is climbing her way up, and although Sheryl did help her, she should learn a bit from Ranka as well and become a bit more humble!^^ Alto-kun has blushed at Ranka in this episode soo many more times than he has ever blushed for Sheryl in one episode so I’m happy. This shows how Ranka is finally taking her feelings and friends advice into consideration and acting more confident towards Alto-kun!

Even so, from what I’m seeing, Sheryl’s ending up with Alto (even though I support Ranka) which is kind of unfair, most guys in Macross end up choosing the older girl.

Ranka focused episode, with all what that means. I feel bad for Sheryl as in the way she got thrown out but oh well. Love upgrade and yay, Macross 7 reference with song ending a fight and having speakers on a valkyrie.
Quite catchy song as well. Ranka is the small chested moe character that goes with cute. Sheryl is the more “adult” woman…
