Well with the start of this new arc we finally have a challenger that will make Naoki squirm. Kamogari Keita has stepped up to make Naoki feel the suffering that Kotoko felt when she was chasing his sorry ass. I like that! While technically there are three new rivals they are of no concern especially the local trap, Motoki whose voice is so hoarse that even an idiot like Kotoko was alerted to his true disposition.
Fear, is the beginning of wisdom.
Motoki have very poor trap stealth.
Seems Kotoko may be immune to fear but not immune to terror.
While we seem to be moving a breakneck speed I don’t particularly mind given how much ground they have to cover, while it would be nice if they could do more episodes I guess it is better to cover more ground than to focus on a single arc. Most of the charm for Itazura na Kiss is that it chronicles the full run of Kotoko and Naoki’s relationship and had it ended at marriage it would have been kind of a downer. So long as I am grinning gleefully and madly during each episode I will not complain.
Yes, but my dear Kotoko all you need is a quality admirer to make up for the legions of shoddy Naoki fangirls.

So a couple new faces have shown up and it seems that Naoki despite being married has many admirers of little threat to Kotoko’s position. However this is the first time we actually have a more serious contender for Kotoko, and already Naoki is losing territory to the Keita assault. Hopefully Naoki will play it smart and stop being a flirt or keep Kotoko at arms length. Nevertheless drunken Kotoko is awesome and terrifying to behold, hopefully there will be more drinking in the future. Hopefully Naoki will be aghast when he finds out more about Moto-chan… I cannot wait to see Naoki go beg Machiko for her help against Keita, oh how I hope the tables will turn.

Keita got nasty, and Kotoko got good and sore. Kotoko almost climbed over the table at Keita.
God, she was mad. I wished she had socked him.

One thing that I liked about this episode (and even went to the manga summaries to check out what might happen next) is Keita. I mean he is good and would so be a tough rival for Naoki. Yay! It could be fun if Kotoko gave him some thoughts and not go Naoki-so-good over him all the time.
Naoki is one cold guy and he didn’t even change, love to his reaction to Keita, waiting for the next epi…
I totally love this episode. Now, it’s time Naoki feel what’s it like to be in Kotoko’s jealous shoes. ^.^

I never read the manga and I don’t think it ever came here to the US, but I do hope Keita’s presence will have Naoki break out of that cold exterior.

Keita would’ve been a good rival for Naoki if he wasn’t the exact same character type as Naoki.
They’re both male tsunderes who fall for the idiot female. Kotoko spent 5 years pining for Naoki, I doubt she’s going to throw it all away on a male nurse though it will be nice to see Naoki squirm a bit. He’s had it way too easy for the majority of the series. I do hope they get to show some more of Naoki’s little brother. It would be nice to see what the last 5 years have done for him in terms of growth/maturity.
From the previews it seems Machiko is going to play a role in spurring Naoki into action, like the good little yenta that she is. Machiko<3
Man oh man! This anime series literally kicked off my most favorite shoujo anime series from the top of my list, which title I can’t seem to remember at all anymore. Impzie and I were so glad to see someone come up against Naoki’s face for Kotoko’s sake other than Machiko-sama. We both thought/yelled, “It’s about damn time, f&*%#$!!!” Well… I did.
My sadistic nature seems to bubble up with glee whenever I see Naoki with the slightest discomfort…. I wonder if that’s a bad thing.

It seems it takes a Naoki to beat a Naoki…well if nothing else while Keita is doomed to fail, at least we can look forward to seeing Naoki shudder in fear at the possibility that he might lose Kotoko.

I really do want Naoki to stop being an ass to Kotoko, but once that happens the show is over ^-^
I actually kind of like the fact that he didn’t change too much once they got married, it would be wierd if he did. Really if you think about it, in his mind there probably wasn’t any reason to change his ways, since he’s now married to her and so can’t lose her. So its not like he has to put the effort in to keep her.
Which is why YAY for Keita, because this is just the kick up the arse Naoki-teme needs!
