Yeah, because Keita is into stupid girls and not necrophiliacs…
Another week another episode of Itazura to watch, sorry for the lateness of this post but school has been kicking my ass and I have to work roughly 12 hours a day for Uncle Sam… (Incidentally writing an InK post is a great way relax after a day of “hurry up and wait”) As aggravating as my job can sometimes get, Naoki still takes the prize for most annoying thing foe me this week. I understand that Kotoko has worked hard to get him to marry her but the lousy jerk is so smug in his own sense of superiority that he does nothing to try and make Kotoko happy, granted she’s an idiot but come on some words of encouragement might actually be appreciated. Nevertheless it seems that not only can Keita endure the pain he’s not an ass hat about it either. Even Machiko acknowledges Keita’s superior qualities over Naoki to the point that even she considers her son to be a loser.
Wow and all Keita did was give a heat stroke victim some water…
Good thing Kotoko loves the poor bastard.
You can always forcefully adopt Keita…
While Naoki is being tsunderella to Kotoko it seems Keita is actually capable of affection though he’s a bit on the hot blooded side. Since we all know Keita is harmless and destined to lose Kotoko you have to appreciate the fellow for winning over Machiko as better than Naoki. It was funny to see how Kotoko misread events as her scenario played out with one significant difference. I loved how Machiko force fed that lout Yuuki an iron rich diet that made him most green. Hopefully that ass hat Naoki will realize that having Kotoko in a one sided marriage is not going to be okay for much longer and that it is high time Naoki pulled his weight in their marriage. Kotoko worked hard to get where she was Naoki just got lucky and sat there coasting along not doing anything for anyone but himself. Now that Kotoko has proved that the stupid girl isn’t always the one who has to do the wooing that Naoki makes his own grand gesture instead of mouthing off. It’s not like Kotoko could have figured it out before hand that Keita likes stupid girls. Geeze Kotoko had to suffer the likes of Matsumoto and that stupid bitch during their honeymoon, Naoki better not hold it against Kotoko for attracting unwanted attention. Where Naoki had quantity it seems that Kotoko attracts quality.
Next time Naoki pouts some more while Kin-chan gets his revenge and rubs it in.
Shut up and eat fat boy.
Poor Keita is trapped…
Oh yeah like that is going to make Kotoko crazy for you…

I know since Keita is a chracter introduced late in the story and because will fail but damn does dana-sama have to act so smug all the time or does kotoko has to have a affair for him to take notice?
I knew after watching episode 17 that I liked Keita’s character, but this episode really sealed the deal for me. Although I agree he’s a bit hot-blooded; the abrupt action he took at the end of episode 18 doesn’t quite fit with his whole chivalrous demeanor in my opinion.
Many opinions will (probably) be flipped once they view episode 19… probably. ^^
Oh no
I admit that Keita is a fine man but..but..
I LOVE IRIE-KUN!!!!!
how many episodes are there in this series?
ROFL @ Poor Keita is “trapped”… ^^
Yes, I think we can all agree here that it is high time Naoki puts his fantastic, genius doctor skills to work and surgically removes his head from his ass. Now, I hate to be the one to stir the pot, but I must honestly admit that Keita pisses me off. A lot. Even though he’s nice. It’s quite clear that he is easy game for dojikko (or married women; take your pick), but that’s no excuse for him to try and worm his way between Naoki and Kotoko. Seriously, he hardly knows her! And as far as I am concerned, Kotoko cannot escape this blame-game completely unscathed — she needs to be a lot more upfront with Naoki about how she feels if she expects him to move an iota off his high-horse; she also needs to stop making excuses for him. Naoki’s encounter with Keita is a jarring collision with reality, the reality that Naoki has emotional responsibilities towards his wife if he wants his marriage to last. It’s a shame that it had to come this far for them (both) to address the elephant in the room, but alas, they are 2D marionettes that dance at the whim of the story. I’ll bite my tongue and wait patiently for the moment when Keita is mercilessly clotheslined by the unbreakable string of fate that binds Kotoko and Naoki ^_^.
I think this is the first time that I agree with you 100%.
Naoki has been an asshole for nearly 2/3rds of the show. Kotoko is constantly working hard and pushing herself to become a better wife and companion to Naoki and Naoki has just been taking her for granted all this time.
I think Keita really hit the nail on the head when he asked Kotoko why she married him. I also really love that Kin-chan gets to give Naoki advice on another guy moving in on Naoki’s love interest.
What delicious irony.
This is really the first time I’ve been hoping that the male lead loses. Keita seems like he’d be a much better match for Kotoko than Naoki is right now. Even Machiko realizes how perfect Keita is. It’s really a shame that she’s going to wind up staying with Naoki in the end. ;/
Well I know Kotoko won’t end up with Keita, but that won’t stop me rooting for him to make Naoki burn with jealousy.
Burrrrrrrrrrn, burrrrrrrrn.
