A much better episode than last week, primarily because I was expecting a long emo-fest but that didn’t materialize. Plus we get lots of stuff blowing up, a higher level of animation quality, and the start of the final boss fight. One bad part though, and I’m sure Crusader will have plenty of rage over it…

I’m rather tired of seeing Nunally being constantly thrown around as a plot device, she just keeps coming back and back and back throughout this season especially. Thus, I was initially afraid that this was going to turn into some mushfest like episode 7 was. Nunally has just become uninteresting, and I would have preferred that she stayed dead because Lelouch was no longer held back from accomplishing his goals. At least he brought back his primo acting skills and said some nasty stuff to her.

This also didn’t make much sense, I really don’t understand Nunally’s character. She has had such little character development in this series that this just comes out of nowhere. Alright, she wants everyone to be happy and have peace and be in the Nippon-whatever zone, but now she’s cool with nuking millions? To be honest I really want her to die by the end of this, as horrible as that may sound.

Much less suggestive BL themes this week thankfully, and I’m also glad that Suzaku doesn’t really give a shit about Lelouch’s feelings anymore. If he was all BFF with him again after all they have been through it would be even less believable that they are working together than it already is.

Continuing from last week’s super villainization of Schneizel he is now an official loli manipulator. It should shock me, but it really doesn’t considering the direction that they have taken with his character and the naiveté of Nunally. At least Cornelia is pretty disgusted over it, although really, she should have seen this coming from a long way away. Ani’ue rabu rabu tended to blind her it seems.

Now this was hilarious, basically Schneizel says well, we can’t stop people from fighting no matter what so fuck it, let’s kill them all and threaten the survivors. About as purely an evil plan as the writers could cook up, and quite humorous. Not to burst your bubble too much Schneizel, but autocratic regimes based on rule by fear tend to be short-lived, often involving the execution of said autocrat.

Getting a little Gundam 00 up in here

I really don’t see how Diethard gets elevated into Schneizel’s inner circle so easily, as he never seemed to really do anything amazing to warrant that kind of treatment. He’s still nuts, but no longer such a lulz worthy character. Instead, only a headshake of pity is warranted. This fellow is definitely marked for death before this show is over.

Oh lordy, definitely the most FABULOUS moment of the episode. The man snaps his fingers and machine gun turrets come out in his CIC. I mean seriously, did he specifically ask for something like that to be designed in? And does it respond to finger snaps like the clapper or something?

What a rather lame way for such a character to go out. She just ends up suffering the “Season 1 Primary Character Syndrome” where the important characters back then get little screen time or development now. I was expecting her to go out in a battle at least, and instead I found this to be rather anti-climactic. Now I tease Crusader all the time about Cornelia, and I’m a fan of cutting out cast members, but I don’t like how this was done.

Yes! Supameido has returned! I loved this scene between Sayoko and Orange-kun, affirming their storms of loyalty and paths of the knight. It’s good to see at least some people retain their loyalties in all of this seeing as how everyone else has switched sides at least once. A Sayoko x Orange-kun end would be so ridiculously awesome.

I’ll engage in a bit of serious business mode here and recognize the importance of this scene. Suzaku may have been a dick about things, but I really think Lelouch just needed some time to gather his thoughts and firm up his resolve. No longer is this just for Nunally’s sake, he has a goal in mind to re-work the world into a better place. In order to crush Schneizel’s world he needs to do what needs to be done and not be held back.

I liked the Hitomi insert for mood music here, and the scene brings back the events of season one to me. They seem to be coming back to the theme that in the end, C.C. will be the only one standing with Lelouch. I can’t really say that it’s a romantic scene necessarily, since they’ve been close like this before, but it was actually a bit touching and served as a nice slowdown and breath before the final battle starts.

Hey guys we kind of ran out of time, so have a fast forward montage instead.

This was rather ho hum for a battle of wits, a bunch of pieces moving and feinting around. Personally, I’m more of the George S. Patton school of thought:
“We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy’s balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!”

Now this is more like it, super cannons from one side and exploding mountains from the other. I prefer this type of action back and forth than pussyfooting around with formations. Good to see lots of explosions and mooks kicking it, although none of the named players die.

Sigh, unfortunately not even an exploding mountain can kill off this retard. And he even went around and impregnated Villetta. From my experience that’s a massive death flag if there ever was one. And what the hell happened to her character? She was supposed to be this tough woman who was going to rise up the ranks and kick some ass, but now she gets knocked up by an incompetent moron and actually goes and stays home while he is off fighting. Such a letdown.

I’m trembling at the thought of a C.C. vs. Kallen KMF fight next week, oh my how delicious that would be. I was expecting a cheese-kun marking somewhere on there at least, pink just doesn’t really suit her.

I may have missed a step here, but when did anyone actually find out that he was really Zero? I mean last episode they said that the only people in the OotBK that were told of it was the top echelon, and on Schneizel’s side only the inner circle. So, I would assume she has no idea he was Zero, and just thinks he’s Lelouch. However, the way this show has thrown out past circumstances and events I wouldn’t be surprised if that didn’t even matter. Nina is concentrating her entire will on redeeming herself, horrified at her ignorance and how Schneizel used her for such destruction. Not sure what they are cooking up in there with that pink, rectangular object, but I’m sure we’ll find out next week.

Evil smile sendoff woo!
Well as I said before I enjoyed this episode a lot more than last week’s, which I thought was generally beyond redemption. There were no real plot twists here, so that probably helped, and it was more of a setup for how it all goes down in the final two episodes. Cornelia’s death was pretty lame, but since she was more background noise this season her death didn’t have a particularly deep impact with me. Hopefully Sunrise can pull one out here and provide us with a satisfying ending, there doesn’t really need to be any huge plot twists to finish this one off. Just make sure you kill off a bunch of people and end it with finality.
Next Episode:

Low quality extended preview of episode 24.
Schneizel and Lelouch in a fabulous showoff, KMF battles, the Gurren coming down on Lelouch, and a million dollar smile from C.C. From the extended preview, Xing Ke coughing up blood (the writers finally remember that plot string eh?) and more fighting. Looks to be an action-packed episode.
Crusader’s Angry Drunken Rant
As you can see Lulu doesn’t have the balls to say “I’ll kill you.” the bloody coward.
Damn right my God would kill you and cast you up Satan’s ass.
FABULOUS, right?
They did, they really did it. They didn’t even give her a new Knightmare Frame! Curse you Sunrise and your BL ways! One day I will turn your homes into a smoldering ruin I will slay all of your bastard children along with your entire families before I poke out your eyes and cut out your tongues you ball-less miscreants!
We will make love and you will speak my language!
Report to Suzaku’s room every thirty minutes from here until the last ep…
Seeing as how all the great mecha pilots sans one is dead, I am here to deliver the eulogy for a great mecha pilot.
My Captain, my Princess is dead and with her this series has jumped shark for the second time. First it was the float packs and now they have made clear that every woman is about to be killed by effete boys who love each other too damn much. A thousand curses upon Sunrise, words cannot convey my hatred of them. May Goro die a virgin and childless in hovel for killing my captain and above all may the fate of Sunrise be “interesting” until the last of them dies for their collective insolence and woman hating ways. May they all get GN-AIDS from their buttsechs orgies! My Captain, my Princess how could they do this to you?! Is there no limit to their hatred of strong women who refuse to sleep with them? I know that they feared all women who were mighty and intelligent, fear leads to hatred, hatred leads to emo, and emo leads to the BL side. Damn you Sunrise. Damn you all to BL hell!
Cornelia-hime loved all of her sisters it is such a shame that she did not give Nunnally one last kiss.
This series is crap with the passing of this great and noble woman, now there will be no yuri to compensate for the OH GEASS NO moments that this travesty is now famous for. Cornelia-hime was a brave soldier who served her nation and siblings faithfully. She had no intention to take over the world for silly emo schemes, but fought only to protect those siblings who could not protect themselves. She respected people based on merit and was repaid with treachery from that damned Suzaku. On the field of combat she shone brilliantly with her grunt suit and was denied a new Knightmare by the bastards Goro and the Geass team (I spit on their series). Lulu and his lover Suzaku killed Cornelia’s beloved Euphie and stained her memory. Now Nunnally is left in the clutches of another insane male of the Britannian royal line. She defended the fatherland until death! Honor and blood for the Iron Cross. With her death, so goes the last of the great female Knightmare pilots who were untainted by men and remained maidens who blessed the field of hellish combat giving hope to the poor grunts. Cornelia was an officer who cared about the poor grunts under her command, never would she use them as pawns or throw them away in some pitiful strategy. Now her grunt friendly way of war is now dead replaced with a boring power point that makes Hannibal roll in his grave. The world is diminished with her passing.
It was the dream of every grunt in the Britannian military to have a moment with Cornelia-hime.
We have lost a hero to our glorious and noble cause, but does this foreshadow our defeat? No. It is a new beginning. Compared to the Code Geass Team the national resources of VOTOMS are less than one thirtieth of theirs. Despite this major difference, how is it that we have been able to fight the fight for so long? It is because our goal in this war is a righteous one. It’s been over fifty years since the elite of Code Geass, consumed by greed took control of Sunrise. We want our freedom. Never forget the times when the Code Geass Team has trampled us! We, the Gilgamesh Confederacy, have had a hard and arduous struggle to achieve freedom for all citizens of our great nation. Our fight is sacred, our cause divine. My beloved captain, Cornelia, was sacrificed. Why? The war is at a stalemate. Perhaps many of you have become complacent. Such a lack of compassion is gei.
The Code Geass Team has polluted our most cherished mecha genre for their own greed. We must send them a message, but not a message composed of words. We have wasted too much time with words. We need action now. The Code Geass elite must be taught a strong lesson for their evil corruption. This is only the beginning of our war. We have been putting more and more money into our efforts towards making our military stronger than ever. The Code Geass Team has done the same.
Many of your fathers, brothers, and lovely female mecha pilots have perished valiantly in the face of a contemptible enemy. We must never forget what the Code Geass Team has done to our mecha! My Princess Cornelia li Britannia has shown us these virtues through her own valiant sacrifice. By focusing our anger and sorrow, we are finally in a position where victory is within our grasp, and once again, our most cherished genre will flourish. Victory is the greatest tribute we can pay those who sacrifice their lives for us! Rise, our people! Rise! Take your sorrow, and turn it into anger! Gilgamesh thirsts for the strength of its people! SIEG VOTOMS!!!
Unlike her brothers Cornelia-hime cared about the little people.
As you can see the Code Geass Team liked to beat up women.
Even when Cornelia was mad she was still beautiful.
She always said that by denying her a new Knightmare that this series was going to turn to a BL-fest.
When she read the script that took five years to write she was one of the first to say “you’re shitting me right?”
Along with Treize she had often asked “WTF is this shit?”
In the end she opted out of her contract once Cecile started to enjoy being Grace in another universe.
She never ceased fighting the forces of evil despite only having recently healed her broken arm.
Cornelia died with her sword in hand in one last bid to save this series.
Cornelia-hime is gone, and she will be sorely missed. So say we all!

“Not to burst your bubble too much Schneizel, but autocratic regimes based on rule by fear tend to be short-lived, often involving the execution of said autocrat.”
Actually, I’m pretty sure it worked for the Tsars for a long time…
I guess Cornelia’s death just goes to show that in this series characters don’t always get the death you expect of them. I think everyone including me expected her to go down after getting like 30 kills in one last hurrah, but I don’t know, that would have been to predictable. Making a symbolic gesture in raising her sword against Schneizel in the name of chivalry and honour (something that seems to be in short order at this point in the series with everyone being so obsessed with results) only to get mowed down by a cheap shot like Schneizel’s just goes to show what kind of game he plays. It also seems to confirm my feelings from last episode that the age of the Knight(mare Frame) in Code Geass is coming to an end, or at the very least facing extinction in the face of souless indirect weapons of mass destruction like Fleia and automated turrets. It sort of gets me a little that Schneizel only has one KF confirmed to be under his direct command yet because of Fleia he has all the power to challenge Lelouch.
Anyway, I visit mostly because I was looking forward to Crusader’s breakdown/diatribe and I’m glad to see I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. The finest of melodrama that dwarfs even that of Geass. Bravo Crusader!
Hate Cornelia’s death, Schneizel being too fabulous about killing her, Nuna-chan getting ready to use a WMD and Schneizel again for going to fire a FLEIJA warhead at my hometown, Philippines.
Don’t hit the lovely resort of Palawan…. It’s such a nice place. Go hit some area in Mindanao where the MILF is. XP
Them new KMFs out there reminds me of the ones in Votoms.
This episode was pretty mediocre, IMO, although it did a decent job of setting things up for the final battle.
The way they killed off Cornelia was a disgrace. She was a pretty important character in the first season but this season she spent most of her time offscreen or in captivity. She should’ve gone down fighting in a mech, not shot in the back by her own brother. It was pretty weak.
Schneizel has officially become Lelouch 2.0 Lelouch wants to remake the world politically through use of his Geass. Schneizel wants to enforce world peace by bombing anyone who opposes him. If anything, this only further underscores that Geass has no “good guys”. There is no black and white, just different shades of grey.
In an ironic twist, it might be Nina who saves Lelouch’s forces from the threat of Schneizel. Nina will save Code Geass…. Nina… Just think about that a few more times.
This episode also shows that Code Geass isn’t above recycling battle tactics they used in Season One (hey, different timeslot! If they haven’t seen it, it’s new to them!). Didn’t really care much for the “character development”, although it was interesting to see Suzaku come full circle and put the end goal above the life and wellbeing of someone close to him. A few episodes ago this would’ve been unthinkable but Suzaku has fully embraced the dark side. He finally knows and accepts that you can’t get make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.
C.C. getting a pink lancelot was freakin sweet. About time we see C.C. get into some action. She’s been a moe-blob for far too long. I wonder if she’s going up against Kallen or Gino in next week’s episode.
SUPERMEIDO is back and it looks like Orange-kun wants to shower her with his “storm of loyalty”. Viletta being pregnant by Ougi is a pretty big disappointment. I can’t believe they used that gimmick in this series, but I guess that’s going to be a lynchpin behind the idea of starting anew after this conflict is over.
Looking forward to next episode and not just for lulz!
Other characters that need to die ignominable deaths: Ougi (Hello, pregnant lover death flag), Toudoh (why are you still alive?), Diethard (Schneizel doesn’t need another toady footstool, Kannon already has that job), Li Xing Ke (You’ve been spitting blood for 10 episodes, why aren’t you dead yet?), Gino (Please sacrifice yourself soon, you goon), Anya (Sorry but you’ve exceeded your screentime quota, now that Marianne is dead we have no further use for you and your loli shenanigans), Cecile (when was the last time you actually DID something?).
That is all.
Surprised Crusader hasn’t defected to TEAM LELOUCH now that his best buddy Schneizel shot his fav character in the back. Cornelia’s blood cries out for vengeance! Embrace the lesser evil!
Cornelia died, Crusader cried. Sorry, couldn’t contain myself.Frankly, I like the way she dies because even though it was quick it made clear that she drew the line even against her dear brother…
This show is a fucking trainwreck that managed to jump the rails every episode. I thank God every day that Taniguichi is retiring after this clusterfuck.
“What a rather lame way for such a character to go out. I don’t think Cornelia is dead yet, They could’ve at least shown a more violent death. We any holes or alot of blood flowing. Besides, no one is dead in a sunrise show until you see the body.
BTW, I don’t see the role Kanon plays in this whole serie, all he does is standing beside Schneizel and agreeing. Is it really necessary to add this character?
@Acerbus
That’s why I said “tend to be short-lived,” there are plenty more autocratic regimes who ruled through fear that didn’t last so long. Look at the recent history of Africa for example.
@Kaioshin
I did appreciate her gesture, I was just dissappointed it took her so long to realize what kind of person Schneizel is.
@Ominae
A resort sounds really good right about now.
@Halcyon
Lots of people better die by the end of this show. It’s not like they have time to really show full character development for all of them anyways. More efficient just to kill chunks of them off.
And Crusader will never hold Lelouch’s banner, no matter what happens.
@FireStarter
Well, generally I would agree with you but they don’t usually bring back characters who die so close to the end. Plus we actually saw blood and bullets, and the only reason why it wasn’t bloodier was because of the new timeslot this season. Now, I can’t guarantee it because it’s Sunrise, but the chance is low.
As for Kanon, his purpose is to please yaoi fangirls. Nothing more, nothing less.
“This show is a fucking trainwreck that managed to jump the rails every episode. I thank God every day that Taniguichi is retiring after this clusterfuck.”
I know! The fact that he forces people to watch his shows even if they don’t like them is just a total abuse of power and he needs to be stopped.
Wait…….zuh?
@Calawain: By the way, the way I have Nunally’s character pinned down is that she doesn’t support nuking millions at all really. She truly believes that Schneizel somehow had Pendragon evacuated and that the act merely destroyed Lelouch’s ability to wage war. She’s kind of got this atoning for the sins of the brother thing going where Schneizel is using her as a tool against Lelouch and she thinks she’s doing the right thing by stopping his apparent gambit for world domination. Thus using Fleia against him is something she thinks she can and must do. Of course she’s been entirely misled about a lot of things by Schneizel and if there’s one thing and only one thing that kind of annoys me about all this it’s that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE seems to take Schneizel’s word at face value. His Charisma stat must be off the charts or something.
Say, what was the point of killing Cornelia again? If it was to shock us with her death… well, after all the named deaths of the past few episodes, including Knights of the Round, I don’t feel much shock anymore. And it didn’t really advance the plot – sure, she’s dead but Nunnally’s the one going around nuking cities. That at least had a bit more shock value than Cornelia getting shot.
Calawain
- If FLEIA hits Palawan, I’m not sure how the resort province would look like…
Well many things that I would’ve said have already been said so I’ll just say this quick.
Isn’t Lelouch’s sword fabulous? I mean the extra time they could’ve used to make a more complete story they probably spent thinking of ideas for that sword.
Shneizel is so awesome he can make turrets appear with the snap of his fingers also they are so precise they can shoot someone a few feet away from him without any collateral damage.
I don’t get Nunally she’s okay with Shneizel’s plans or did he just tell her that he miraculously evacuated every capital in the world.
Ninja meido is back awsome she’ll probably be the one to finish Shneizel ^.^
I feel that many death flagged characters about to die next episode because I think the last episode will be an epilogue basically hopefully they won’t leave it in the air so that you figure out what happens afterward.
@FireStarter
They won’t bring Cornelia back Sunrise still has a little self respect…. just a little bit.
@Haesslich: Mostly to show that she (or rather somebody, anybody on Schneizel’s side) had a conscience and a will of her own still and hadn’t just become Schneizel’s pawn like so many others. It was the act of her rebellion and not her death that came as a bit of a relief to me since I was chaffing at the idea that she had somehow decided to forgo all of her beliefs for Schneizel. Turns out he was just lying to her like he lied to everyone. Schneizel’s mask folks….
Anyway her last scene (if it was that is) soldified her strength and position and shows us that thankfully not everyone agrees wholeheartedly with Schneizel amongst his allies. I don’t think it was pointless at all and it gets the ball rolling for potentially more people to go “screw this guy” and turn against him. Not Kanon though of course. Guy is just a yes man through and through.
As for the reason of Kanon’s existance which someone brought up, I thought it was pretty clear, but he’s an adjutant to Schneizel. An assistant of sorts, whose sole duty is to protect and see to all the needs of their superior.
@Haesslich
Nunnally hasn’t nuked anything yet. She didn’t even get a FLEIJA trigger until this episode. It was Schneizel who nuked Pendragon.
As for the point of killing Cornelia, what was the point of keeping her alive? She really didn’t have a use anymore as a character. With only 2 episodes left, as Calawain pointed out, there’s not much room for further character development.
There’s only enough time left for more clusterfuck warbattledeath and rage from shippers watching their hopes and dreams get crushed by a Master Troll.
Forgot to mention something and missed the edit… again
WHY THE FACK TO THEY GIVE TAMAKI AIR TIME seriously you don’t have that time to waste dear god please just kill him already.
Kaioshin: We’ll see if anyone turns against him at this stage, since Nunnally’s got a trigger and seems pretty convinced that it’s right to nuke millions while it’s evil to manipulate people the way her brother did… which happens to be not all that different from what Schneitzei’s doing.
Halcyon: She’s apparently happy enough to hold one, and is willing to kill everyone. So Cornelia’s purpose in this plot was to first be a semi-boss character, then to go over into the anti-Geass side, then to die as a normal mook would to show Schneitzei and Lulu aren’t all that different with regards to the lengths they’re willing to go to in order to achieve their goals? It seems like a bit of a waste, when any old character could’ve been used to the same effect. About the only thing this does is give Lulu another reason to get angry at Schneitzei and to give Nunnally one more thing to be either lied to (showing she’s gullible) or to ignore her half-sister’s death because it’s unimportant to her (showing her to be callous, and in direct opposition to Lulu’s view of Nunnally as a gentle soul – not that Lulu is the best judge of character).
@CJ
Tamaki is the comic relief character of the show. He’s Geass’ version of Kittan from Tengen Toppa
@Haesslich
She’s apparently happy enough to hold one, and is willing to kill everyone.
She wants to hold one because she’s tired of being powerless and left in the dark. Holding a FLEIJA trigger gives her some measure of control and technically, it’s safer in her hands than it would be in someone else’s hands like Schneizel.
Also, recall that she only asked for a FLEIJA trigger after Lelouch let her know that she wasn’t willing to get her hands dirty, etc.
I don’t think she’s willing to “kill everyone” either. She’s basically going through the same moral quandary that Suzaku went through when he agreed to have FLEIJA loaded on his Lancelot. If you look at the episodes carefully, you’ll notice that her hands are actually trembling before she presses the button. She hesitates before firing.
So Cornelia’s purpose in this plot was to first be a semi-boss character, then to go over into the anti-Geass side, then to die as a normal mook would to show Schneitzei and Lulu aren’t all that different with regards to the lengths they’re willing to go to in order to achieve their goals?
Honestly, Cornelia did not serve a purpose beyond the end of Season One. Why they brought her back is anybody’s guess. Point is, she served her purpose which was to act as a moral counterpoint to Schneizel’s antagonist upgrade. In essence, Cornelia is to Schneizel what Nunnally is (or was) to Lelouch and her fate may have been some subtle foreshadowing of what’s going to happen between Lelouch and Nunnally.
Also, re: Nunnally being gullible. She’s blind. She can’t really judge on anything except what she hears, except for that weird Lie Detector ability she has when she touches people. Exploiting a cripple (especially one that’s been sheltered her entire life and has zero experience with treachery/manipulation), is surprisingly easy.
wtf.
@Kaioshin
Eh, she knows what Fleia did to Tokyo and that it has huge destructive power. Schneizel also told her that not all casualties could be avoided. Plus, now she’s launching them at huge armies which will kill even more people. So I’m not sure I agree with you there, I think she’s become ok with killing people for the reasons you mentioned: atoning for Lelouch’s sins, manipulation by Schneizel, etc.
@Haesslich
Point was that they wanted to show that someone can stand up to Schneizel based on values, and also to cut down on the cast members they have to give satisfactory development and ending to.
@CJ
Frankly I’d like them to spend as much time on an epic finish and then do like an epliogue OVA that showed what happened to people. The cast is just so rediculously large.
@Lelangir
Indeed.
crusader! My god man suck it up
although the way she died sucked i was expecting her to get killed by C.C. after i saw her pink lancelot
also why is it that tamaki survied the frickin mountain explosion crap come on hes a second rate knightmare piolt and has no use in the story
sunrise must pay for all the crap it forces us to watch
@hayclyon
Other characters that need to die ignominable deaths: Ougi (Hello, pregnant lover death flag), Toudoh (why are you still alive?), Diethard (Schneizel doesn’t need another toady footstool, Kannon already has that job), Li Xing Ke (You’ve been spitting blood for 10 episodes, why aren’t you dead yet?), Gino (Please sacrifice yourself soon, you goon), Anya (Sorry but you’ve exceeded your screentime quota, now that Marianne is dead we have no further use for you and your loli shenanigans), Cecile (when was the last time you actually DID something?).
dont forget tamaki really
your probably right about crusaders reaction too hes gonna jump ship
@ Halcyon
sorry bout spelling your name wrong
@raindog
Tamaki is comic relief without him the show would be way too series and angsty.
It would be like watching an anime version of Dawson’s Creek.
Besides, how can you hate Tamaki? He’s the only one (besides Kallen) who stuck by Lelouch until Lelouch went all WORLDO DOMINATION mode. Every show needs a mascot character. That’s what Tamaki is (at least for me).
DUDE you TOTALLY missed teh scene where orange jumped from the fucking warship to the ground just to tell the PRISONERS to shut up about the rumors of the capital being destroyed, (right before ninja-wash-my-dishes-bitch maid showed up) THAT was HILARIOUS, he had a perfect landing too! Cant believe you missed that bit of hilarity .
lets see where to next, oh yeah nunally, she needs to fuckin die seriously. They bring her back to life only to have her be easily manipulated, on the verge of nuking millions of people, being her brothers enemy after all hes done FOR HER, not to mention taking care of a crippled girl for most of their lives, I mean you guys have seen the scenes of him helping her into bed, without lulu there helping her she probably would be off drooling on herself somewhere in a warehouse or something. she should have stayed dead.
Cornelia dying. . .well she FINALLLY got unstupid for the last like 10 episodes and challenged schizie, too bad it was too little too late. speaking of which. . .
-Stupid characters ok there are characters who should not be THIS STUPID but are anyway
-Xing Ke hes supposed to be on the same level with lelouch, someone who “understands” him, yet he still hasnt figured out the true reasons for lelouch wanting to “takeover” the world, hasnt seen thrgouh schizie and was like “oh , its ok that youve go freya pointed over all the major cities in the world, as long as its for peace” WTF IDIOT YOURE SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE SAME I.Q AS LELOUCH, even I cornelia who lost to lelouch figured “well maybe thats not a good idea” and THEN during the battle doesnt realize that HEY mt fuji is a giant sakuradite mine, MAAAYYYBE we shouldnt be flying right over it. . . .*facepalm* he was soo smart in china that he nearly beat lelouch, now hes got the stupid diesease too?
Cornelia- she is a smart cookie too, hell she was imprisoned by lelouch, hell even that retard SUZAKU saw through his mask like 8 episodes ago and she STILL hasnt sat down and thoguht about what his true motives are in makign the whole world his enemy I mean she fought with him to take down v.v. and the geass, grease making akuma plant, he had an idea of what the emperor tried to do and KNEW that lelouch stopped him(m sure that she was aware or could have figured out why all the world at once was about to be toasted at one point) and she just suddenly FORGOT all that. . .bullshit, Im not taking her idolization of shnizel as an excuse either, she was a smart strong woman, only to have her figure out that oh shit HE’s the bad guy right before she gets pumped full of lead(too little too late),later to be revived by NINPOU: KAGE PLOTO NO JUTSU before getting a fitting real death knight of round style *eyeroll* way to ruin one of your best characters in your series taniguch. (you dont deserve the *i* suffix on your name punk)
Toudou: yeah I knew he blew up your stupid generals but even YOU knew they were retarded, and you still couldnt see through lulus mask, so yes suzaku is smarter then even YOU. . .the YOU were were his fucking martial arts master! wtf!
Todou and the bk who betrayed zero: after all the shit he did for you, you know. . saving your asses in the shinjuku ghetto, breaking you out of jail/stopping your execution, going back for kallen at in the china battle etc etc have the gall to fight against him and be shnizies pawns! I can understand if it was just ougi and toudu and friends they are retards but youve got xing ke, rakashata, kaguya, and probably some other smart people somewhere and you STILL believe the fucking enemy comannder who s killed many of your fighters over your commander whos protected you for so long. just die, all of you.
Nunally- being blind and crippled is not an excuse to try to kill your brother and millions of people just because another brother you havent seen in like 14 years tells you your brother thats been fucking changing your clothes, feeding you, putting clothes on your back, helping to get a roof over your head, putting you to bed everynight and baybysitting you everyday for you for 16 years.
so I guess coming back to life makes you forget all that time he spent with you (and lets not forget suzaku too) youre such a shitty character and plot device its not even funny, youre more “jesus” than jesus kira suzakomoto who at least survived shit and was NOT BLIND AND CRIPPLED, so at least when they came back to life it was because oh they are leet fighters, not participants at the special olympics. . .
End of this section———–
ougi survived teh crash. . .
w. . .t….f . . .
viletta is pregnant, I hope she dies too as to not contaminate the gene pool any further with stupid mini ougis
.
.
.MONTAGE. . . A. FUCKING. MONTAGE! this is just beyond retarded a fucking montage. . . . yeah I shouldnt have to explain why this is lame. . .this is not the 80s Montages are NOT ACCEPTABLE ANYMORE.
one thing I did like though, was lulus resolve to blow up his ungrateful lolified sister. hell being blind and crippled isnt an excuse for stupidity.
if I ever see the code geass team in a dark alley, their asses are mine!
oh and before I go, let me activate kaoshin’s seed ultra trolling flame thrower I-am-better-than-thou mode, soul eater majou style: “snake snake snake snake, trainwreck trainwreck trainwreck jibba jabba jibba jabba trainwreck trainwreck jibba jabba jibba jabba GAO!”
@Halycon:
I couldn’t have phrased it any better had I tried! Thank you for making my day ^^ For the record, two things: 1) Diethard is despicable, opportunistic, social-climbing scum. If your death note (please excuse the expression) is ordered in terms of importance, I’m gonna have to say that Diethard ties with Ougi at first place.
I am also here to mourn the passing of Cornelia-sama. I do not completely accept her death yet, though. Part of me anticipates her reappearance. Here’s to impetuous hope…!
I’m thinking Nina knows Lelouch is Zero because he’s piloting Shinkirou. She was there during the China battle and even made note of the fact that it uses the druid system, so she definitely has seen it before. She’d have to be blind not to figure it out (hell, it’s sitting right behind her work area!).
I figure at this point saving the world > revenge for Euphy.
You know, once people start getting all offended and act like Code Geass R2 is some sort of personal sleight against them I can’t help but just laugh a little. I know it’s not meant to be intentionally funny, but it just is. I used to balk at the constant anti-geass stuff and get annoyed, but now it’s just so over the top, forced, repetitive, harmless, nonsensical, unfocused, pointless and ridiculous as to be funny. I hardly even notice it anymore nor do I pay attention since it’s all the same drivel more or less.
And you know, the people who’ve said that is what Code Geass R2 is how now ultimately become that themselves and that’s a kind of irony I can get behind in good spirits. :p
@Kaioshin
They did not even give her a new Knightmare! This was a crime against civilization that I shall not soon forget, I will beat them all to death with a sockful of shit!
@Halcyon
Here here my Cornelia-hime deserved to take down a few of them with her, in her new Knightmare sadly Cornelia was robbed of a hero’s death.
Fuck going over to Lulu! I jumped ship to VOTOMS where men are men and where the grunts will honor her memory.
@Zentari
Quiet you! My Cornelia-hime deserved to go down dual wielding buster rifles with a mountain of dead enemies beneath her.
@Haesslich
It was bot shocking, but it was galling to see my Cornelia-hime not die in the last great war at the head of an army of brave soldiers. She robbed of a death worthy of a hero of her stature, as Patton was robbed when he got killed by a drunk driver.
@Maipeisu
I am glad to have you as comrade in arms. I hope too that Cornelia-hime is an abnormal survivor.
Cornelia!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you bastards, why why!!!!????
Crusader my comrade! Let us grab our harpoons and slay the evil that is Sunrise writers!
Cornelia beat Tony Stark and McGuyver in terms of ingenuity. She was on par of every Knightmare pilot in existence. She more or less kicked Lulu’s ass in the final ep of Season 1.
Goodbye dear Goddess of the Battlefield! Enjoy your next life on Jupiter with your beloved and your sister.
ALL HAIL CORNELIA!
Schniezel is such a smarmy fuck.
I heartily disagree with the person that wanted Cecile dead.
And hahah @ halycon; orange-kun showering sayako with his
bukka….storm of loyalty.I really just can’t believe how things turned out this way. The Black Knights, forged by Lulu, now his enemies? Wow… they (Black Knights) really deserved to die after all. They should be grateful to Lulu. >:(
Schniezel would’ve been a great Emperor, but, he’s also a crap. Oh well, politics…
Cornelia’s a loss. She would’ve sided with Lulu, but… *___*
Thanks.
Let’s just say this episode made me happy and call it a day.
@ rollchan
Yea seriously. I mean, come on, what are you pissed about? That you were used? Don’t make me laugh, what are generals SUPPOSED to do with their soldiers? A general with too much compassion is a bad commander.
Sometimes I swear the staff for Code Geass visits sites like 4chan…
@skoll:
ah great, another one like you. well excuse me, as a viewer, I like to voice out my opinions for animes like these. I don’t take this seriously. Just watching it makes my Anime viewing pleasure for the day complete.
hehe. oh yeah, I dont want to start a flame or anything here, well, errr…. okay fine, you win. -_-;
what a day in some blogs…
sheeeesshhh…
Good day to y’all.
ohh, can’t wait for gundam 00 2nd.
more power to THAT! n___n.
lol, i can’t believe i missed that one. the philippines/whatever its name is here in cg is actually involved in the fighting? where’d we get the money? XD
cornelia’s death was a bust. i’ll miss her.
i seriously have lost my love for ohgixviletta. but i agree. she’ll probably be the representative of the ‘new life’ bid after all this is over.
the warhead probably concussed nuna-chan. i can’t believe she’s naive enough to think that if her beloved whole brother lulu lied to her all this time, everyone else must be telling the truth.
I love Cornelia as much as Crusader does, but I think giving her a custom KF would make her less awesome. WUT HAPPEN TO EMPRESS CORNELIA.
Lloyld x Cecile ending please.
@Kaoshin: Don’t rise to the flamebait. Ignore that troll.
SO SAY WE ALL!
I feel sorry for cornelia though.I mean she died just like that?Ok. But at least i want her to do something before dying or what.Like turn her back off against schneizel&support lulu as a backup but secretly later.Since that she had known all of schneizel dirty plan.Don’t you think so?
I mean this episode is not like what everybody’s thinking eversince the last 2 or 3 episode came out before this 1.What a sad case their story is.
Lol, seveTsix, I’d rather have the story be different from what I expect.
To be honest, Cornelia was not saint either. She did order the execution of those elevens in the Saitama Ghetto.
Ah crap, I was left unimpressed by the moments of awesomeness that usually make Code Geass enjoyable for me. I had given up on the story a long time ago. Now I really don’t care what happens any more. I just want to know how it al ends and then be done with it.
@Crusader
Cornelia never had a unique mech to begin with. Her original mech was a customized Seigfreid. She probably would’ve ended up with a custom Vincent or a mass produced Gareth (more likely a Gareth since EMPEROR Lelouch had all the Gareths on his side).
I AM REALLY DISTURB BY THIS ANIME…. X_x
why are you all worrying about cornelia ? she was killed so fast and
unstylish :O *fart*
lelouch plans to turn the world against him, as a result every single nation will cooperate and maybe peace will be a result of his plot!
but how dare, he has to suffer so much, because of schneizel and nunnaly – that’S just not right, kallen trying to rob his life with stupid thoughts, SHE SHOULD DIE ( not that i dislike her, i prefer a kallen x lelouch, too but it’s to late now so, satisfy me and die KALLEN!!! )
i hav a bad feeling that c.c will die for lelouch sake =’(
hell, why does it has to turn out like this, not a SINGLE wish came true for me in the plot, that IS so annoying!!! my lovers die, the hopes for lulu die – so messed up.
@Gideon:I’m with you.
@Valmanway:the same here&who wouldn’t?Anyways,i can almost hear lulu sing a song of ‘In The End’ by linkin park there.XP
*out there*
@Tommykn: You know, everyone already understands the full extent of absolute trainwreck this series has brought to the table. The real question is does this series have the potential to right itself with some incredible finale? I mean let’s be realistic for a second, how much of the stuff that has happened has been completely expected? I understand that the same loops are playing over and over again, but can they fix a disaster in three episodes?
Personally I stopped watching after the absolute massacre in season one except for little snippits that I found interesting enough to watch by reading these entries. I’ve basically hated everything about this series since then, and it probably won’t turn itself around. I’m just saying let’s not make our final judgements as to our absolute frustration with it until the very end.
“Don’t stop believing?”
Maybe we even get a nice Soprano’s ending. Hahahahaha, how awesome would that be?
One Trackback
[...] What, no maid ninja escaping jutsus? And here I was, expecting the series to stay true to its woefully over the top nature by dishing out some outrageous explaination as to how Nunnally and Sayoko survived the Pink Nuke, rather than a logically sound one. Still, the interaction between Orange and Ninja no Maid Lady was somewhat satisfying to watch, and it’s hard not to root for the two. Seeing as how everyone else seems to be switching camps faster than Malaysian politicians, it’s good to know that there are those whose allegiance never once wavered. Yes, a Sayoko x Orange-kun end would be so ridiculously awesome. [...]
