That’s assuming there’s a long supply line and that Tytania doesn’t have enough force to protect its supply lines AND crush Fan Hulic forces with overwhelming superiority.Anyway, for now there’s not enough information to discuss it in details.

Go watch LOGH and finish it up, it is truly a one of a kind anime that most fans should watch. Especially if you like space opera.

Juslan could be a main character given his place in the promo material on the Tytania side of things. We shall see if that will be the case though.

Right now the absence of a parade of admirals means it will probably be less about large scale fleet maneuvers and having meetings take up whole eps. Right now the absence of strike craft means that battles turn out slightly different, and sicne technology progression it might become a factor since in LOGH technology on both sides remained rather static.

Yep indeed, though this doesn’t seem nearly as GRIMDARK as either of them.

Even with a delaying actions losing that many ships is still going to hurt, especially since the rest of the Tytania Fleet is still out there and still vastly out number Fan Hulic. giving up territory and preserving the fleet is still important since ships are about the only way to fight back given Tytania’s political clout. I recommend going in three episodes deep before writing it off that is usually the point where you can tell where things are heading.

Heh, I guess that was pretty badass, but not quite the kind I wanted. But anyway, I guess I just wasn’t expecting that to be the focus. That said, I didn’t know much going into this, so yeah. I can see how people might like it, but it’s not for me.
And that song has been stuck in my head… lol

On the issue of strategy, I don’t think it really matters for Fan Hulic if he lost a lot of ships.We know he doesn’t really stand a chance anyway.He needs to buy time and guerrilla operations probably won’t do.Guerrilla can’t prevent Tytania from reaching the capital, it’s a long term strategy that requires massive sacrifice(loosing control of the capital, constant occupation, etc).You wouldn’t want to do that unless you’re absolutely desperate. Fan Hulic and its superiors obviously weren’t.They probably have an alternate strategy.

Am pretty sure buzz on the street, on the corner of Nerd and Awesome, says that Jouslan (red) is actually the main character.

However! I doubt it’ll be too similar to LoGH, Tanaka Yoshiki seems to be the sort of guy who likes to do write lots of different things and I don’t think he’d write Tytania as a repeat of LoGh. I’ve never read his works, sadly, and don’t have any real Tytania spoilers, though. Someone compared Jouslan more to Yang than Reinhard, so maybe this time Yang will win. Well, the philosophick half of Yang, anyway.

The other half is busy blowing bubblegum on a command deck on the other side of the battle lines.

Definitely watching this series. I still haven’t gotten started on LOGH, but will probably enjoy this nonetheless. Lack of plausible science fiction doesn’t bother me if the story and characters are engaging. I mean, the universe just got saved through J-Pop in MF and I’m the happiest guy for it.
