LOVE ME PLEASE!
I could try to write a whole paragraph of Moko love to introduce the new arc of Skip Beat. However, I should just say this to describe everything I think about Moko.
MOKO, I LOVE YOU! You are so damn hot!
Summary

Kyoko cursed at the dolls of Ren and Dicktaro, psyching herself up to give them divine deliverance in the future. In LME, Kyoko was looking at the brochures for acting classes in order to improve herself but was appalled at the cost of the classes. Kyoko then bumped into Moko. Kyoko was surprised to see Moko holding a copy of acting classes, since Moko should have passed the auditions. Moko tried to explain her way out of this predicament, but the acting head of LME revealed that Moko was going to be a LOVE ME member. Kyoko was surprised why Moko failed the audition
Moko was supposed to describe about family love, and talked about it. It turned out that Moko showed extreme hatred of family love and feel that anyone who is binded by such values would be an unfortunate soul. Lory was clearly disappointed, but realized that Moko had the skills to be an actress. However, she would be placed in the LOVE me section to discover love. Kyoko comforted Moko by saying that the Love me section is a good place to be, and Moko realized that Kyoko must be part of it. Moko tried to run away from Kyoko as Kyoko started tagging herself onto Moko. However, Moko was eventually no match against Kyoko’s spirits. Kyoko’s forceful attempts forced Moko to change into the pink track suit. At the acting class, Lory saw some broken vases and he seemed to know who the culprit was.

The LOVE ME group was doing a temporary job and it was clear that Kyoko was glad to have Moko’s company. People were teasing Moko. Moko tried to explain, but Kyoko told her that Moko was accursed with the pink uniform. Moko tried to remove the jumpsuit, but she was once again stopped by Kyoko’s demons. Moko asked why she was named Moko, and Kyoko explained that it is a nickname since Moko moved a lot (Mo-Mo). Moko considered the Love me section to be a bane for her, and tried to run away. However, she was stopped for the countless time by Kyoko as Sawara gave them a job. It turned out that the section was required to take care of Maria, Lory’s niece.
They went to Lory, and they explained that Maria seemed to be traumatized by the story in the script since it reminded her of a sad past. Scene changed to Moko, who was laughed at due to her pink jumpsuit. She wanted to run away, but she was held down by Kyoko’s spirits. Eventually, her anger after being mocked to be a bottom dweller broke the spirits’ hold. Kyoko said that she was unable to help Maria. Lory said she was able to help Ruriko, and believed that she might be able to do it since even Ren was unable to solve her bind. It turned out that Maria liked Kyoko quite a bit, and it was rare for Maria since her attention was usually only to Ren.

Back to the acting class, Moko clearly showed how great an actress she was by playing both the male and female’s role easily. She continued to deny being in LOVE me, but accepted it completely when she overheard Lory’s comment that he would make it free for them for acting classes. Lory informed them that they were unable to find Maria. Kyoko took out some well made figurines of Ren and Dicktaro. Moko was surprised at the detail of the doll, and wondered if she was a stalker fan. Interestingly enough, Maria was lured over. Maria and Kyoko started discussing about the art of voodoo dolls. Moko clearly did not know what the two were talking about. It seemed that Kyoko and Maria was getting amicably.
The other students were definitely annoyed at LOVE me since they overheard Lory’s promise of free classes if they were able to tame Maria. Maria said that she was keen to use the voodoo doll to bind Ren to her. Kyoko was surprised that a voodoo doll could be used for love. Kyoko proposed to use a human-shaped candle, but Maria said it did not work. Maria hence wanted Kyoko’s power. Just then, Lory asked Maria to apologize for her pranks. Maria questioned the release of this movie script, calling the script a total joke. It made no sense that the main character was the one who caused the death of her mother, yet she was still loved by everyone. Maria did not understand why even the sister and father would be loving the lead.
Kyoko was reminded of her own parents, and clapped in agreement as she felt that the older sister was way too idealistic. The students were annoyed, and told Kyoko to role play the elder sister and make the younger sister realize that she was still loved. Kyoko was now in a pitch after being pressurized by the students to accept the challenge.
Thoughts

Moko is so awesome. Repeat after me. Moko is so awesome. I really love her tsundere behavior toward Kyoko despite it being mostly tsun tsun behavior. I mean, who can resist MOKO? If you dare comment that Moko is anything but that, I will have the rage of an evil fanboy down on you. Heh! Anyway, Moko’s appearance is definitely interesting because I love how Moko and Kyoko interact with each other. They really do act like they are a comedy duo.
If you ask me, Kyoko would never been so awesome without the support of Moko because Moko is really a very good actress with keen sense. I also don’t remember Moko’s nickname being explained in the manga. Perhaps I am getting forgetful (and I am too lazy to go back to the manga) but it is definitely a funny touch to give Moko her nickname simply because she fidgets around.

I definitely laughed my guts out when Moko was bound by the evil spirits of Kyoko so many times. It never got dry because I found herself laughing every single time when Moko tried to struggle in a futile attempt to escape. This is a more liberal attempt to use the dark spirits more effectively in the anime that makes me happy as a viewer. I like the touch about the dark spirits communicating among themselves, and there is this dark morbid humor about it. I guess it is just the fact that I like how Moko looks so startled with the spirits. It’s just too cute.
On the main plot of the story, I personally find the whole plot to be hard to believe. In what is described, the main female lead actually caused her mother to die. Yet, everyone still seemed to love her. Maybe it is a cookie-cutter plot that is attempting to portray the greatness of family love, but I ain’t buying it at all. I do not know why everyone seems to think that Kyoko and Maria are queer but there would always be some resentment even if those family members did not show it at all. That is why I feel that Maria has a reasonable doubt since everyone tries to appease her when it seems clear enough that there was some indirect blame placed on her. I sympathize with Maria a lot in this episode.
On my favorite scene, it must be how Moko transformed from a LOVE-ME hating member to one that proudly proclaims her allegiance to LOVE ME because of free training. It is just pure Moko to be so motivated over free things, or more accurately things that she can save money in. You can probably tell that Moko is a total pragmatist, and that is why she is so darn charming.
So, a parting question: Do you think that the story plot of the movie script is stupid or realistic?

First!
Well, generally it depends on how well the script is written, but I also thought that it was a bit idealistic to think that the girl would be able to be treated normally without some sort of residual guilt or anger than needs to be worked off. Even if the family was “trying to be strong” for her, there must be scenes where they struggle with it themselves.
Having said that, Moko looks beautiful! I was a bit worried about how her character design was going to change in the anime (considering what they did to Ren), but from what I can see in the screenshots, she really gives off the beauty and the glamour of a potential actress. And the chibi and crazy modes are pretty hilarious too.
Looks like a interesting episode. Alot of chibis, so that signifys awesomeness. Also with Lory, Moko, and Maria is a sign of extreme awesomeness. Sadly I have to wait till it subbed. But I’ll survive. I think.
The movie script is very . . . . . Japan. Y’know, family and harmony! Lalala! Conflict? What’s that?
That said, I don’t think it’s unrealistic to have a family that sticks together after a tragedy like that, but it is unrealistic for the family to be perfectly forgiving right from the get-go.
*pssst! Hinano is dropping this! We must convince her how great this is!*
I think Moko appreciation really grows after the commercial added with the family part, she wins for most dysfunctional family relationship ever XD
Yes! Moko is Awesome!
I love that she’s a total pragmatist and she still looks very pretty in the anime. Although I really liked the lines of her hair as they were drawn in the manga too.
But I have to admit I really can’t wait for the next episode! More of Kyoko’s crowning moments of awesome! She has TONS of them, but this one is really special because, well, that might be spoiling lol.
And about the script? I can’t really say that it’s stupid or realistic, but I feel more like the rest of the family would try to be happy in front of the girl but really hate her on the inside? Some people are definitely more forgiving than others, but either way, the relationship is screwed. Keep in mind this is a pessimist talking, but I don’t believe that parents love their children unconditionally. Especially when death is involved.
The plot is totally idealized (remind me of some craps I would normally see during Christmas or something like that), no wonder why Maria is quite annoyed about it.
The next episode is going to be FRICKIN WIN!!! Finally, Kyoko will show her shining talent as an actress!!! (I know that she shined ever since when she tried to replace Ruriko, but personally I see it more as the awesomeness due to her effort rather than her acting talent)
Moko is really cute when you understand her character well despite how mean she seems at first (actually that is the whole point of tsundere!!!)
@Dizzcity: Hmm, I just have a feeling that Lory asked for this script to be written in order to alleviate his personal feelings. For a bit of spoilers, I do not think that the motivation of the script was ever mentioned, which made it interesting since it is a clear parallel with the Maria incident. It feels like a coincidence if it is any normal circumstances, but it felt like a deliberate attempt to soothe the pained heart of Maria. I am just glad Kyoko is around to solve this issue.
Moko is obviously beautiful. How can she be anything but beautiful. I do agree with you on Ren though, and my girlfriend has been saying that “HE’S NOT BISHIE ENOUGH!”. Oh well.
@Maura; I still like my Moko, but I think you can tell that from a mile away. I actually find that Maria borders on being way too mature for her age. She is still way too young to be so morbid, which is a very interesting contrast. It seems like the female protagonists in the story all have issues with love, or more like the lack of love. I only realize it recently.
@L-chan: It is? I thought J-drama now likes tons of meloddrama now. I feel that it’s going to be hard not to blame the younger sister even though they are still family. It’s impossible not to feel any resentment at all at the short period. I do not know, I just do not have that much faith. @_@
Hinano is dropping it? it’s just getting awesome!
@Machi: of course! Moko is for the win. Kyoko-sama is for the awesome win! However, if you suggest Moko x Kyoko yuri, I will be mad with rage.
@Twilight: I wonder honestly. I think that the parent will be able to love their children unconditionally, but I am a bit surprised that the elder sister showed no sign of resentment. It does not even make sense but I feel that the elder sister will be the family member that feels the most hurt and is hardest to recover. The father, despite the loss of his wife, will eventually understand that it’s not the child’s fault.
Kyoko’s crowning moment of awesome is getting so close! I cannot wait for this but I am actually waiting for something after that. I actually like that scene a lot. Can’t say more spoilers.
@Kaitune: YES I KNOW! Well, it is not really her acting to be honest that got through but more like how her real life situation governs her to act the way she did. I am kinda saying that Kyoko is still a very raw actress at this stage, and it’s kinda inaccurate to say that she has any true talent.
Moko seems to be mean but she is actually just a tsundere. A tsundere that is bloody beautiful and hot: ME WANT!
I think the script is pretty realistic. I also think Maria’s response is pretty true too. People treat you how you treat them, and I thik Maria and the character in the script were just not as loveable as their ‘enemies.’
I am looking forward to this when I get home tonight.
More More More More Kyoko powa…
@Steven: I think Maria’s character is probably warped due to the experiences. That said, I guess you are right because people will only act according to how you react back to them. Since Maria firmly believes that everyone blames her for that (whether they do or not is not the question here), people will react in a specific way that makes her more suspicious.
@Kreb: AND MORE MOKO POWER! Are you converted to Moko.
@Impz
I can’t like someone whose hobbies include Children Throwing.
And she is Tsudere.
I wasn’t thinking of Kyoko X Moko, after all Kyoko has Ren~ But poor moko got…shouta…they’ve so got to fix that T___T.
@Kreb: WHAT’S WRONG WITH TSUNDERE! Nooooooooooo!
@Machi: no, just no. It’s not moko with that….kid. No
I’ve finally gotten around to watching this episode and firstly, Yeah, MOKO IS AWESOME! MOKO IS AWESOME! ^^ And after I got to see a hint on her background (she and her family don’t seem to have a good relationship), I’m starting to feel drawn to her character. And you say she’s pragmatic?! Another thing that makes me adore her.
As for the script, yeah it did seem like a work of an amateur. And there really wouldn’t be too much of a story if things just went well after the tragedy ^^;
