I made a few mistakes in my last comment. The time skip is between episodes 4 and 5. I forgot that the first story arc took 4 episodes, not 3. Also I didn't correctly remembering the time skip. It was 3 months, not 6. "Three months have passed since my most beloved daughter, Lydia, became the exclusive fairy doctor for the Earl Ashenbert House." (03:12) Despite my mistake, my point still stands. There has been enough time for a couple to fall in love. (Real life example: my parents were engaged 3 months after they met.) Given what I said about the current arc being farther in time than the second arc, we can add even more a few more months to their time together.

kimazi: but i really can’t see how Edgar is in love with Lydia. they don’t even have that long of a history.
I think you've forgotten that 6 months passed between episodes 3 and 4 (between when Edgar retrieved the sword and the next story arc began) according to the narration by Lydia's father. The current story arc is beyond even that time, so we're probably much closer to Edgar and Lydia having worked with each other & seen each other nearly every day for anywhere from 8 months to a year. Six months, eight months, a year -- that's plenty of time for a couple to fall in love with each other, especially since they see each other nearly every day.

Oh sorry, one more thing... just a comment. novishou - 'the ermine thing' they had already established that she was alive and had been shocked in the previous episode so I guess they didn't want to replay that part. It also suits the characters more to be straight-faced about it when it happens as it probably adds more intrigue or at least it makes people frustrated (if an anime can garner emotions from those watching it, then all the better i think). Also the previous episode they said that she was no longer human so maybe they are cautious too...

This site has become more sophisticated - love the work you guys are doing!!

Wow! I haven't commented in quite a while - a lot has happened and now I'm in Japan. So anyway, I love this anime. I hadn't really found much to watch after Sainkoku and this anime satisfies the romantic in me. Anyway, I like the Edgar x Lydia pairing. Something about the back and forth play between the characters and the hidden darkness that appeals to me in Edgar. Kelpie is too straightforward for me and doesn't seem real in that he can shapeshift.

I feel bad for Kelpie. He was there first, and he's always there for Lydia when she is upset or just needs help, even when that help is for his rival Edgar. I think it would be kind of funny if Lydia were with Kelpie, then she would be married to her own work.
But of course the chemistry between Lydia and Edgar was pretty much instant, and despite Edgar's naughty ways, I can't help but root for him. Darn those bad boys!
@Blist - I agree about the whole Ermine thing, hello?? Not even a "Hey, glad you're not dead, nice to see you." Guess things like that don't matter as much when you're wrapping up a series.

well....i honestly think Edgar is a jerk. lol. i used to be very excited to see how everything will go, but i really can't see how Edgar is in love with Lydia. they don't even have that long of a history. it's weird. and for kelpie. when i first started the series, i thought he would be someone very cool. he turned out to be the opposite. what a disappointment. i would love to see a different Kelpie with Lydia.

beling late is better than no post! I also ran off laughing with Edgar's misunderstanding that made him propose to her. It's really nice that Lydia slipped out that Edgar muttered other woman's name ( you see how your casanova character tricks on you, Edgar). We all know that it's Lydia x Edgar, but I'm sure everyone feel sorry for Kelpie as he's such a nice and caring guy than he should be (judge from his appearance).

Many of Raven's lines are so funny -coz he said them with a very serious face, hahaha, but I found that even he's silence and didn't say anything, it's still funny, i.e. the scene when he entered the room when Lydia was trying on her dress.

Anyway.. couldn't Edgar and Raven act a little bit more surprised when they met Ermine? = =' They seemed too normal, in my opinion.

Nico is the most adorable character in this series~ so cute~

I've been looking forward to your blog entry because there was much I didn't get from watching the raw. For example, I didn't realize that Edgar thought they had had sex the night before. And I totally missed the part about Raven offering to name the women Edgar mentions in his sleep in alphabetical order. Bwhahahaha! Raven is the walking definition of "deadpan". He's hysterical.

I feel sorry for Kelpie. He's obviously as smitten with Lydia as Edgar is, but he doesn't have a chance at winning her.
