Well I am not sure if this is new or not but here’s some pics some gentle/m/en dug up recently. Well I can’t read moon, but judging by the hubbub it seems it will be a UC series or OVA (HELL FUCKING YEAH UC) and will be set between 0080 and 0083 in 0081. I suspect that the girl Sherry Allison will be the pilot for the RX-78-7. At least the characters barring the Zeke look older than 16. Hughes (Feddie Officer) clocks in at a nice 32 years of age, Sherry at 24 (mai hunni!), and the Zeke twat comes in at 20, though it still seems like a far cry from the old looking dudes like South Burning. Still aesthetics aside I hope that because it is the 30th Anniversary Project that it will be great, after all the RX-78-7 looks like it was based off of Alex from 0080, and the tentative pilot seems to be a girl rather than some pretty boy twat, so the stars might be aligned for this one. Let’s not forget how great things were when a woman was allowed to pilot the only Gundam in her series.

Oh Well , I would prefer Gundam Unicorn but this one doesn’t look bad. Oh well,I need to wait for more details about the storyline to make my judgment

I was kinda hoping for a Unicorn or an Ecole du Ciel OVA, but the fact that it’s UC is good enough… Let’s hope that it isn’t inflicted by idiot plot.

who wouldn’t want to see a Unicorn anime? this looks promising and character designs don’t look so bad. Wonder what the newer design for the HFA would be like
although one wonders why they keep on going back to/around the One Year War story line… can’t they do something with the Zeta or ZZ story lines?
CHRIS!!!! I love War in the Pocket, that would be a very nice cross over. It will be nice to have a UC time line again after so many years. OO and Seed are nice, but let’s get back to the story already!

I remember that episode of Evolve. It was weird, but fun.
I’d like to see some non-OYW sidestories too, but I imagine that that didn’t seem particularly appropriate: this isn’t the 30th anniversary of Zeta, it’s the 30th anniversary of MSG. As for Unicorn or Ecole du Ciel (or for that matter Crossbone) adaptions, it’d be nice, but past experience suggests that Gundam material which starts out in novel or manga form is very rarely animated.
The HFA 78-3 looks jaw dropping amazing. That is going to kick some serious ass. Here is to hoping that Sunrise brings their A level writers and some realism to this.
i just hope it a U.C. based gundam with some decent storyline…not like the last gundams that goes for the EMO way and end up with psychologically destroyed characters and shitty invincible gundams

Did they finally figure out UC what about the only timeline they could write good stories out of? Or are they going to loot and pillage this fanboy shrine too?
Crusader, we may not see eye to eye on 00, but one thing we can certainly agree on is UC. Mecha designs by Katoki, good old Feddie vs Zekes, adults as main characters… and FUCK YEAH RX-78-7!!!!
What has me even more excited is that this will be covering the immediate post-OYW era, which not even 0083 did a very good job of portraying. Thing I’m the most excited for though? The inevitable MG RX-78-7. It’ll look good next to my RX-78-4 and RX-78-5. Now if Bandai would just release the RX-78-6 Mudrock…

Man, part of the reason I love the Gundam series is the cool, old, and honorable men (not saying these guys are old). Kampfer didn’t even show all of its glory in 0080, so here’s hoping from a Zeke fan. Did I mention I love Katoki’s designs?

Well it is the 30th anniversary of MSG and not Zeta, still let’s hope that the UC pedigree means that it will be EPIC. Already IGLOO has done a fairly good job of not failing like crazy though there is not much of a story to speak of…

Here’s to hoping that they stay true to the UC timeline’s realism/tech war and not make the Gundams in this one so overpowered that it turns into some animated parody of an FPS/RTS game where you have all the cheats enabled in multiplayerand owning “n00bs” left and right like in Wing/GS/GSD/00.

So I am curious in order to follow this series when it is released; I should probably watch Gundam 0080 then?
How about we get rid of the legs and just add tracks? Tracks beat bipedal designs in every conceivable category. Bipedal design is very inefficient and creates a huge profile which is dangerous on a line-of-sight battlefield. Also, add some camo, there’s no military reason to have a red/blue/white color scheme for a war machine.
The Red, Blue, and White paintjob of the Gundam was ORIGINALLY only for demo purposes, at least in-universe, but with the success of the RX-78-2, it became pretty much a staple of the Gundam prototypes that were rolled out. The G3 Gundam with its gunmetal grey paint job, is supposed to represent the ‘default’ color of the suit had it gone into proper production.

mm, i feel both hopefull yet anxious with concern about this, the lack of teenagers is a big plus as is the shift to U.C and a woman piloting, even so i can’t help but feel that sunrise might try to bank all success of this on nostalgia alone which if they do it’s gonna be a sad day for gundam
that said the slight redesign of the zeke pilot suit looks nice, as does sherri and the RX-78-7.
As long as it is somewhere between good and EPIC I will be happy the stars seem to be aligned for this one and I am hopeful that this Change that we can believe in to a 24 year old woman will pay handsome dividends as opposed to the lack lusture male protagonist pilots that we have seen take the lead in the last three major Gundam series.

I’m quite excited about the older style art. It’s more rugged and rough and adds a sense of reality that would have otherwise been blown away by pink explosions.
Adults? God forbid that the main protagonists are above drinking age. Is Tomino directing this, or at the very least supervising? If so, then hell yes! An Amuro or Chris cameo would just make my day. I’m glad I’m not her only fan.
It would be even better if Tomino was still in his Kill em All phase, but beggars can’t be choosers. I don’t like one bit of post-2000 Gundam, but UC has never failed to deliver. I’m looking at you,0080!
well it really doesnt matter if its a UC based series or the much anticipated Unicorn Gundam.. As long as its a gundam series I will definitely watch it and collect model kits for it.
actually i am also a fan of UC storyline and i always imagine how good it is to have a series based on the original storyline.
i bet everyone will agree that these elements shall be needed :
-if its a UC storyline they need to cut off the newtype crap; its better to watch ordinary pilots battle without any crappy specialties like glowing lights or esp.. just like the stardust memory 0083 story.. and not to mention the feddies lost on this one..
-no artificial humans or emotionally unstable villains
-a protagonist with a solid character and not too emotional
( im not into hating seed infact i liked the gundams but its full of dramas)
