They also discover that the Emperor Ribbons has built a new Death Star that orbits the dark side of Endor. As Death Squadron was not available to celebrate the commissioning of his new fully armed and operational battlestation Emperor Ribbons had to settle for Care, Revival, Louise, and Andrei to fly for the commissioning ceremony. Katie is on her way back as she still commands the respect of some A-Laws guys who have prepared for her long awaited return. The Vashti family has a reunion as Linda brings a gimped version of O-Gundam with no GN drive. Chancellor Ribbons sends Homer’s troops out as a meat shield as he prepares his own Grand Army of the Republic for an Attack of the Clones, sadly Jango Fett and Prince Ali were unavailable so he went with the red dead loser Divine as the template for his Clone Army. As if the portents were not dire enough it seems Feldt proposed to Setsuna in the Meyrin Memorial Pairing or should we call it the Lunamaria Memorial Paring? Given the things to come it seems the stench of GSD is emanating now stronger than ever…Bad feeling have I.

So Goodman is happy to have taken command of what should have been Katie’s 3rd Fleet of 21 Cruisers and 108 Mobile Suits. Unfortunately for Goodman he decided to waste 3 of his brand new top of the line Dauntlesses as fireships stuffed with anti-beam particles…clearly he forgot that throwing a bunch of anti-beam grenades would have done the same thing, but no… Jihad-kun then calls upon the dark powers of lose that Hayden Christen drew from and tells Saji that he could learn to love sand as he charges his reach around saber. Still the A-Laws do okay until Sunrise decided to give Kataron the power overwhelming cheat code to one up the one that Lucas gave to the Gungans. Kataron some how got universal cloak that helped them evade detection and all of a sudden the A-Laws who have been kicking their asses all season became cannon fodder. Not that the Droid battleship had note even been sunk yet… Katie gives Goodman an ultimatum which he ignores, Patrick finally gets to get back into the fight. It seems that Katie has accomplished what Wild Bear and Hercules could not…she started the Rebel Alliance from the Feddie forces that decided to follow the only human with a brain on this show as Katie grabbed a bunch of GN-XIIIs instead of space Tieriens. Goodman dies and then Count Renge tries to kill Emperor Ribbons, who turns out isn’t really dead… Lastly Seelian Fat Kid get a hard on watching people get killed.
Indeed Saji’s stench of fail is hard to ignore even in space, Darth Louise.

Well I am not going to lie despite Patrick and Katie’s return I don’t have much more hope for the end of this series. Bob wants to cut himself because he’s emo after Jihad-kun changed his life, Feldt was roleplaying as the Hawke sisters, and Ribbons has clone army…with Goodman gone and his fleet getting beat by cheat code powered Kataron, the always OP CB, and now the most talented commander in the Federation all that stands between them and Ribbons is Homer, and really how much could he have left? Moreover since this clone army can’t even fit on the screen it’s almost certain to be everyone vs. Ribbons. I think that the clone army was just awful now they can recycle the death scenes more easily and given Divine’s record this isn’t even going to be much of a challenge. Feldt’s emulation of the Luna and Meyrin just killed it, it was not developed well and it pretty much came out of no where considering Feldt had been useless after her pathetic bitch fight with Marie. I didn’t like the battle as much this time around, mostly because Goodman wasted three perfectly fine Dauntlesses when he could have had his 108 guys just toss anti-beam grenades every where, it was just sad to see Aheads and GN-XIIIs gunned down so easily by Kataron. I suppose that it is better late than never to finally have Kataron be useful, but it still felt wrong like Jar Jar Binks being a senator.
Good to see that Sunrise is not done woman hating yet, I guess this erstaz-Soma could not be bothered to speak for herself…

Of all the people to clone why the hell did Ribbons clone Divine? He had Prince Ali on the pay roll and certainly an Army of Prince Ali clones would have been very OP, but a clone army of Divine, is well crap. I can see them getting cut to pieces by every one now at least with Prince Ali you can be sure that it will be a hard fight at least. Prince Ali was absent again while Bob embarrassed himself and brought a little knife to cut himself open, he deserves to die for letting Susanoo get trashed like that. I still want to know what it was that sent Goodman and Lindt off their rockers but alas while Wang gets to tell her life story moments before she dies Goodman and Lindt just died. Hopefully that A-Laws guy who was with Kati wasn’t just a palette error and maybe Katie did manage to get the Regulars and some of the A-laws to follow her, but we shall see. Billy better be working on a kick ass Nu Gundam 00 Raiser for Ribbons though maybe Ribbons had something hidden away on his Death Star already. There is still hope that Ribbons will make Louise his Sith Apprentice to deny any happy ending for Saji. Katie and Patrick are back from their long romantic honeymoon and hopefully Katie did rally the remaining Federation Army and her former A-Laws with any luck they will serve her loyally and faithfully and if need be follow her into the gates of hell.
I see Katie still has some pull with the A-Laws rank and file…

I have no idea why we needed to be reminded again of why CB fights, but whatever if Sunrise wants to make it a waste of time then so be it. Well all that is left are three more eps, if Prince Ali is still MIA at this point he might never show up. I do however look forward to watching Ribbons tear Renge apart for his insolence. I am not sure if there is a way to tie it all together now but we can only hope that someone gives Jihad-kun a hard time. Not sure who is going to pilot O-Gundam but hey I just hope that it isn’t going to be Yellow. Good to see that Marie let’s Haptism do all the talking for her, she even became more of his bitch today by letting him call her names… Already we have a fifth rate loli ass grabbing Minmei wannabe, a Clone Army from Episode II, a dumb bitch who wants to be both Meyrin and Luna, and a Seelian fat kid. Things certainly look grim for the end if we are lucky all of these problems will be killed off, at least the Clone Army is slated for slaughter if nothing else. I guess the hand of Lucas is everywhere these days.
The Feddie Grunts got a bunch of near kills by almost blowing up the bridge and sinking Ptolemy and impaling Tieria, while team Gundam 00 Raiser finished off Goodman after Katie blew up most of his fleet. Still with the impending Attack of the Clones all I can say is, “I got a bad feeling about this…” Eej and his merry men putting on a commercial for Dragonball Evolution probably cursed the episode, on second thought maybe not I don’t know.

Regarding Feldt, I see it more as desperation for a “last days alive” romp than anything emotional. I mean, she doesn’t have much in choice on the ship: Ian’s married, Lasse’s probably junkless from being shot/blown apart so often, Lockon MK2 and Al are just FUBAR, and Tieria only wants to plug into VEDA. That leaves Setsuna and… Saji. Given this, I think she made the best choice of very limited options.
For the clone army, while Ali would’ve been the superior template, there’s no fucking way even Ribbons could pay for that. The payroll for just one must be ridiculous even if it’s worth it. But even with the world’s economy, Ribbons can’t afford to retain and equip 100 Ali’s.
And thank God Katie’s back again.

No matter what, Gundam 00 will never be as bad as Gundam SEED Destiny. If for no other reason than the last 16-20 episodes haven’t been spent in massive flame wars.

As I’ve said elsewhere, it’s not so much a matter of cloning, as it is mass production. Ribbons created the Innovators, so it’d be relatively easy to mass produce a particular model. Especially if it’s something that needs a fair bit of lead time and he’s been planning this for a while.
Mass producing Ali on the other hand is much more difficult. First you’ve got to talk him into letting himself be cloned. Then there’s the question of transferring his skills to the clones. You’ve got to get a copy out of Ali’s head (which would likely require making him an Innovator), then there’s a question of is whatever imprinting equipment they’ve got up to the task of being that specific, or is that best it can do general knowledge and personality?
All of which ignores the small detail that Bring/Devine are pretty much unquestioningly loyal. Ali on the other hand, is loyal as long as it suits him. Do you really think Ribbons is stupid enough to mass produce the one guy most likely to decide to, and succeed in killing/overthrowing him?
Don’t knock Graham for losing against the main character. 00 still had a technological advantage and more weapons. Setsuna’s sword was knocked away and if not for Setsuna’s new innovation and 00′s ability to break swords with it’s hands, Graham would have won. I know that ‘would haves’ don’t cut it, but destroying a sword with just 00′s hands is a little wierd.
Oh and the clone army is not only made of Divines. It is a mix of Divines and Bring Stabilitys. You can see the difference with Divine’s short hair and Bring’s long hair.
The mobile suit that can do anything… Some sort of almighty power on the moon… An idiotic hero… And countless episodes of useless matter, i hate to admit this is starting to look like gundam x…

Marina and the kiddie harem just made things more awkward for me. It’s because those kids were saying, “…how pretty those lights were…”. You won’t have a second to blink when they shoot at you!”

I feel so foolish for once considering to buy this on DVD. So we’ve been pretty much treading water the whole season? One thing I’ve learned is that the plot doesn’t make a show but rather the characters. Well atleast the staff realized that Bushido looked ridiculous with that mask and that scars are the way to go.

Looked like Bob didn’t watch enough samurai shows, the two handed blade catching is staple. It’s probably why all the cool iaijutsu moves come from a side draw or an impaling stab motion.
Goodman could have deployed the anti beam field with a mine field or using a missile barrage with a specialized payload.
Sure Katie is awesome, but the lack of Feddie ships at her command makes me believe these are just die hard Katie fanboys that think they have a chance against the Immortal Colasour.

Ribbons cloned Divine not because of his combat ability but because he’s quiet and obedient (and kinda dumb). You wouldn’t want an army of Alis, Revives, Healings, or Regenes making snarky comments or chatting up a storm or planning to overthrow you etc. Then again, Ribbons has proved that he is incompetent by not ordering Ali to kill Setsuna and steal the 00 Gundam when they had the perfect chance.

The episode was par for course in a Gundam series, but it really hammers home the fact that the series has gone more than a bit away from the initial source of conflict in the first series, which is Solar power. Also, I think many people were let down with how the clone revelation was handled; we might have had a clone army before from UC (in ZZ, with the Ple clones), but that little zoom-out scene was ridiculous.
I have to knock Crusader though for not even fanboying at the fact that the RX-78-2, I mean the 0 Gundam is being thrown into the ring. It increases the chance of seeing a dark Hi-Nu for Ribbons to pilot in the penultimate episode.

90% of the people here are in the “old news” level when mentioning 00 S2 fights at this point. Best fight in S2 was episode 9 with the Prince, and from then on it just got crappier and crappier. 10% of the people here still think the show can produce awesome fights with a small bit of optimism while every idiot on forums like Animesuki would magically believe they are saving the GREATEST battle with their “budget” at the end with Setsuna vs Ribbons.
And they think Mr B vs Jihad Joe was okay. Just like how they defended Power Rangers when they were still in high school.
And uh, well if the guns look too real, then it doesn’t work as a Sunday show. I mean seriously, you guys talk like Japan actually likes Red Eyes. WHO YOU ARE KIDDING? NO ONE EVEN IN THE ENGLISH SPEAKING WORLD WANTS TO TRANSLATE THE DAMN THING >.<

Back on topic, my wild guess is that Feldt is gonna die in the Gundam 0. The romance is so out of the blue, and the 0 with batteries looks so wortless that I cant think any other explanation.

Feldt and Setsuna got a beautiful song “Unlimited sky”. This song played during Sergei’s and Soma’s separation scene. Sergei is dead now. In 18ep. this song played during the scene when all the meisters went to the battlefield and also it 18 – 20 episodes were about Lyle and Anew. Anew is dead now. So who is going to die Setsuna or Feldt?

Given how people die in this series, the motives and machinations of the various characters in this, I doubt censoring guns bumps it into the category of a Sunday show (and by that I believe you mean more audience friendly, correct me if I’m wrong).
Oh btw turns out 0081 is either not going to be a tv series or it’s not airing 2009.

Not so much treacherous as has a history of breaking his contract using a gun instead of a lawyer. Not really a problem as long as you keep him happy. One Ali is relatively easy to keep happy. One hundred Ali’s, and you’d start running into job satisfaction problems really quickly.
Plus even if GN magic was used to bypass the technically problems, Ribbons would still have to get Ali to agree to being mass produced. Getting his agreement would be difficult, and not having his agreement would risk the afore mentioned job satisfaction issues.
What does that marriage certificate say? All the exclamation marks make think its funny.

Cut Feldt some slack? Pfft…I’d sooner cut her head off. AWACS implies that there is some sort of coordination, for rapid sorties, and placing units where they are needed most. There ain’t none of that here considering how they don’t even use CAP. No Feldt is just klaxon with tits, se could be replaced with Haro and we would probably be better off since Haro have better reaction time and are nigh indestructible. Besides as if I am going to forgive her reminding us all that GSD exists.

Clearly Sunrise thinks that Meyrin and Luna’s romances were a high point for GSD… I disagree on the kids I want them dead so that Ribbons can be that much more evil.

Indeed many subplots died to bring us this information. Sunrise can design a good mecha they however suck at small arms.

I am sure Ribbons has enough bank to give Prince Ali a custom mobile suit, after all Prince Ali has only ever betrayed for money…and Ribbons has plenty of it. Moreover not all of Prince Ali’s employers have met a bad end no Moralians or French Foreign Legion guys were killed by Prince Ali. It’s not like Sumeragi is smart enough to hire the most infamous mercenary of the age…

Watching this episode, my heart sank as I saw the unmasked Graham go down so easily. I hope Setsuna savors that victory, even with knowing fully well that only his plot-device armor and hax allowed him to win the day. Graham will always be the better ace, no matter how many times the plot demands he job to the Jihadist.

Ali killing Neil by AWP headshot is a lot more violent than gundams killing each other. Same applies here. By making Gundams as fake as possible, they will make kids not want to refer to real life weapons for their play time. If ghetto rainbow super soaker is the strongest weapon in power rangers, would kids go buy the gi joe gun that looks like a m16 over it? No, because that m16 couldn’t even kill the cannon fodder in power rangers.
It’s strange, it’s dumb, but it’s how the world works. Live with it.
It’s funny before I watched Gundam 0080 (which had better get a direct sequel someday with a detailed account of what ever the hell happened to that hot devil Chris and that child Oscar Alfred) I actually could rationalize some of 00′s massive plot-holes.
However now after watching something that was made two decades ago that still kicks Sunrises ass (except for the cheesy-ass Soundtrack but hey, it was the 80′s) I can’t honestly excuse Sunrise anymore. I still like some of the characters from CB but only a few.
It just seems that Sunrise should never have recycle the whole Newtype (I.E. Innovator, Coordinator) thing. I mean why does the character have to recieve genetic enhancements to be a good pilot? What, is there something WRONG with good old fashion hard work and training?
I realize it’s sci-fi but we already have the sci-fi aspect down with BIG GIANT ROBOTS we don’t need bio-soldiers. If you want to do that make a whole separate anime about super soldiers, don’t mix and mash sci-fi plots.
Anyway why did Sunrise kill Ribbons and then have him shown alive in the preview? This makes me wonder why they made it look liked Wang died in episode 19 only to revive her in 21 and then kill her again. Oh well it’s a safe bet he is gonna pilot the Gundam Alex-I mean 0 Gundam-and start racking up the body count from inside Plotemias.

Indeed it seems that the days of being badass normal are gone. Not even Domon and Master Asia needed newtype powers or any sort of genetic enhancement, they trained to be that good. I guess hitting the gym and learning technique is no longer fashionable among the young people these days.

I hate it when people bring up 0080. I watched that when it first came out, and I was damn young yet still understood it. Going from Disney videos to that was like….WHAT THE T_T
I mean, at least MSG gave me time, and at first people like the fat guy died which was A-okay with me. But 0080 was like . >.>
Then I got over it damn fast the moment I saw Shurato. Damn those armor arts were hella hot. Or at least, I thought they were way cooler than the Saint Seiya versions >.> which most had too much feminine appeal to it.

I agree the song “unlimited sky” is very nice especially when played during soma and segei separating, it was a touching scene and the song amplify the effect.
The docking is redundant as many had said, but it looks cool and will make more kids out there happier to see it. Its like phase shift armour in GS that keep turning on when launched
The pistol is also for the cool look, they cant use any design that we can see nowadays else it wont feel like a different era.
As i had predicted on Ep 19 review, katie will change sides, but now im not sure is in Fed or the De*Coup, I was think in De*coup. Because before the ALAWS go out for a final all out attack, there was a speech/order for goodman and his soldiers. If so, Katie should not be in Fed, should be in De*Coup. Coz the Fed are under ALAWS command. If Katie is in De*Coup, I dont think they have numbers.
So now i predict the final huge battle is CB & kataron & katie & bushido (gundam 0) will combine force against the clones of devines & prince ali & ribbons. becos there is always just nice a spare gundam for a pilot, ex gn archer for soma.
I would say the good team will not lose much people as causalty, but the bad team will all be dead, taking example from GS and GSD, ending of GS many good died, 3 ladies from Orb and major fraga, else in GSD ending no good people died, all bad dead.
the love stories are side stories to spice up the show and cater to as wide a age group as possible. gundams for younger, love for not so young people.
Setsuna want to wake Mr bushido up that the world is not all about fighting and win and revenge, its about staying alive and change for a better future. its some good moral thing that should instill in kids and people.
the only redundant thing are the nude scene in show and opening song, they are bad for kids and only attract more mature audience.
I’m still eager waiting for the much awaited interaction with the aliens. did alieo old man found alien technology in jupiter? and knew that the aliens will come back after several years. a bit like predator, coming back after every period.
I still miss Exo squad in last episode interacting with aliens but stop there.
And one last thing, i dont think ribbons can clone ali, i think he can only clone with data he has for example those innovators with him, maybe human DNA haven been fully decoded yet. Let say he can clone ali, but will ali kill each other to get the money he want, he will need to share will so many ali, ali may not like that.
The standings were totally hilarious, but was is necessary to compare Setsuna to Shinn freaking Asuka? That’s just wrong, man.
And yes, I would like the New Gundam show to come out as well.
