Woooooooooooooo! Damn! I’m a newbie to this genre of harem anime and breaking the 4th wall but Hayate no Gotoku rocks!! Wow! This anime is tops for a jaded otaku like moi! Hinagiku is kawaii!!!! (So is Maria!) Just finished the 1st season and am fervently watching the 2nd season as it airs but this stuff is awesome! Am considering reading the manga as I don’t know if I can wait for the anime to keep pace. Frickin great!

Thanks for the shout out! Though I have insert a caveat that I only cover episodes where Hinagiku has screen time and also cover them in an idiosyncratic sort of way.

I enjoyed the second season’s episodes so far and it’s remarkable at how JC Staff has stepped up to the plate. Each scene was drawn and directed very well. The comedy is still there, but it doesn’t overwhelm the initial plot.

“Karakoi ~Dakara Shoujo wa Koi wo Suru~” will be the next ED which roughly translates to “Empty Love ~As for the Girl Which Loves~”. That’s my understanding. Still, I prefer another karaoke session kind of ending, but that’s just me.

Wow, the scene in the manga is drawn even better than the anime. Anyway, JC Staff is definitely doing a great job on S2.

The next arc is about the hotspring arc. The new ED is said to be a Duet of Nagi and Hayate and the OP is sung by KOTOKO.

Id say this is focused more on the relationship of Ayumu and Hina. If i remember correctly, this arc will also focus on the story of Nagi’s mother. Remember the pic in the OP where all of them were in some sort of field? It somehow makes me think that the series will end after this arc because of that pic.

I had a rocky start with this because I did love the parody machine gun that is the first Hayate season. It’s like they spoofed every single Japanese culture/entertainment property out there.

The first three episodes were kinda weak in transition because of its slower pace. But after that the series finally found its new purpose as a less-parody, more romantic (misunderstanding) comedy. And really, there isn’t any drought of Hinagiku.
