To Aru Kagaku no Railgun – 06: The Green Band

Railgun 06 03

The coward was making IEDs…

So after much lamentation of the lack of Biribiri goodness last episode Kuroko’s onee-sama infiltrates judgment in an attempt to flush out IED Ishii as the no good terrorist has been planing his bombs in children’s toys in a bid to be a jackass. The Electroshock Princess is quite haughty and dismisses the hard work thatKuroko puts into Judgment. Biribiri thinks that it is all action but sadly there is a harsh disconnect on the level of that betwee Modern Warfare 2 and actually being int he USMC. Turns out Judgment has to do the crap things in garrison too and deal with a shitty public that causes more problems that make you question whether or not they are even worth defending. Even if zapping civilians is bad, littering is worse as it pollutes the Earth, but these days students are as lazy as they were in the Cultural Revolution days, cutting class, vandalizing everything, etc. Bullying has taken a turn for shitty as Mr. Hippie with his long hippie hair was punchingIED Ishii while dancing like a white guy with no rhythm. Good to see that stupidity and evil feeds upon itself, though Biribiri held back her terrible vengeance. IED Ishii was most unappreciative as he wanted preemptive arrests, I think he should GTFO and move to the PRC. So Biribiri goes about with Mii-chan to look for a pink hand bag, and gets some delicious thigh meat, but in the end Biribiri sees no combat action and gets found out by Kuroko. Having a new found respect for the crap job Kuroko volunteered for Biribiri confesses her admiration of Kuroko. Kuroko then takes it, rightfully so, as a confession and goes nuts in a yuri powered hurricane, which is sadly cut short. In the mean time IED Ishii continues his reign of terror by placing bombs under chips display at the local 7/11 knock off.

Over all a rather fillery episode and not the yuri powered Kuroko and onee-sama fest I wanted. However I did enjoy how Kuroko was listing Misaka’s faults and attempts as raising awareness of how un-ladylike her onee-sama was. Kuroko just can read Misaka like a book though sadly Kuroko’s fanfiction segments have yet to become reality. Konori Mii-san was delightful and I am glad she got plenty of screen time and was thrilled that she rode atop Biribiri for a while though the latter was more worried about bugs than relishing the experience. I did very much enjoy Kuroko’s betime assault after hearing her onee-sama’s praise, and I am sure that is how Liang Qi would have reacted to Alphard’s praise. I am sure Calawain found it to be a little “meh” but i do very much enjoy watching Kuroko’s antics as a substitute for the Alphard onee-sama and Liang Qi, Canaan spin-off that will never see the light of day. I like Biribiri just fine but I simply adore how Kuroko is aggressive, refined, elegant, skilled in CQC, and essential is the love child of Alphard and Liang Qi as she displays traits of both, good to see that Misaka thinks of Kuroko too. Next week some terrorist gets his comeuppance I hope it will be particularly painful for him.

Well firstly seeing biribiri by her desperate attempts to be a good judgment member was quite fun. Overall nothing much happend there BUT in the end Kuroko once again saves the day by her exquisite preformance ^^ … Finally there it was a real destruction, Art is a Blast !!! ending to my taste ….. but of course stuffed animals ehm why …? there are other millions of objects to explode, also dead ppl but he is not dead ,it just seems like that …

IED Ishii is a violent terrorist that targets children, I have no desire to understand him in any way other than how much lead it will take to kill him.

Biribiri is simply not that far along that onee-sama path that she can handle herself within the confines of an orgaization, Kuroko on the other hand seems to have a better handle on her own love for her onee-sama and position within a team, such is the adaptability of Alphard and Liang Qi’s love child. Still at least Biribiri made a sincere effort at being a good member of Judgement.

I know I expected this but… let me say this.., long ~super image dump~ post is LONG

that aside, is this the same studio doing index? I see no horrendous 5cm/s exposition. Good thing.

Yeah I will be cutting down soon enough I guess. AFAIK it’s the same old Index team at work…

Lol it seems that the armband are the only perks for being a Judgement member. Otherwise they are under-appreciated, get crappy and dangerous tasks, and probably aren’t paid well.

Hey that sounds a lot like my job…only I get better ROE and weapons. :D

Still they are similar enough to get my sympathies and empathy.

obviously the anti-skills is where its at. i want to know what’s up with that group instead of judgment.

i’m also surprised at the lack of Biribiri bug-phobia screens. i thought it made for some hilarious moments. the animation and art is so clean and bright too. this show is very visually impressive. (probably has a huge budget)

i also laughed at “Take this, Al Qaeda!”.

    • Posted November 14, 2009 at 10:03 pm | Permalink

I am sure we’ll be seeing more of the anti-skills later. Biribiri bugphobia was to take a back seat for some delicious Mii-chan thigh meat… I stand by my decision.

I intend ot laugh that al Qaida operative into glorious oblivion.

Thus I should plug this Kuroko is a nutball, but in a good way post by Erica.

Good to see that I am not alone in adoring Kuroko and that the love child of Alphard onee-sama and Liang Qi has some female admirers as well.

Nice review! this episode wasn’t to bad fun to see Biribiri in the episode even thou..she was cleaning, the last few scenes of Kuroko running around trying to hug her where funny as well lol

    • Posted November 14, 2009 at 10:05 pm | Permalink

Kuroko is most devoted and has longed for her onee-sama’s praise for far too long, may Kuroko get more praise form Biribiri.

You must have already seen 7th episode so… but it’s not my “culpa” that judgment hire kids….
Every coin have two sides ; justice exists only as a word in books, in reality there are only few cases which could be considered as righteous or unrighteous, in meaning that there is no merit to determine if it is regarded as justice.
It’s not like I’m trying to understand him why he kills children ,I believe that judgment comes from word justice at least to bring it ,that’s the reason why attacks started….” I only said, Art is a blast!!! that’s all.” However in 7th episode the “13:14″ says: “Nine of our people have been injured already…” means nobody died.

Recently I was told on my university that law equals justice but I just don’t believe it…
Anyway I hate latin sheesh ><

Good job on the the caption and comment, especially when kuroko is lecturing mikoto XD it just too funny. i actually doubt the job scope of judgement after watching this. they dont look like pure law enforcement, just look like those boy/girl scout to me 0.0 but it is fun to see more side of Mikoto (her fear of bug, deredere mode when come across with relationship thing, sense of justice to punish those wrong doing). The scene of Kuroko baring herself to Mikoto is just too crazy XD
