No, it’s not an immense floating space fortress with gilded walls, but it will do.
Welcome readers and friends to THAT’s new site! We’re happy to bring you our content on our own domain with better loading times and fewer technical issues. It’s been a long and difficult process moving over all of our content and getting everything to work correctly, but thankfully all of that is behind us. Now that we have our own site, we look forward to a bright future for THAT.
If you notice any technical issues, please let us know in the comments so we can take care of them. And please update your bookmarks and feeds. Thank you for sticking with us at our new site, and welcome!

yey! welcome to your new home ;P
Welcome to your new home, and thanks for the info on hard the move was. I have been considering leaving wordpress.com but now I realize I don’t have the time, patience, nor skill to handle this task.
Congrats! I found your blog recently, probably in December, and you guys have already made a jump to your own domain. That’s awesome, hope I can do the same someday! Keep up the good work!
Congrats on the move! About damn time! (hopefully this comment works) =D
@ Foshizzel
Thanks! And congrats on first (working) post, hehe.
@ animewriter
Our particular set of circumstances made the move a lot harder than it should have been for most sites. Conflicting versions of WordPress was one (new site was newest version initially, old site is one revision back and this caused a lot of problems.) Another was the slow speed of the AB.net servers, which caused our transfers of content to time-out several times. Then we had messy nuts and bolts code stuff to clean up caused by all the attempts at moving plus the (so I’m told by our mercenary computer engineer) sloppy nature of WordPress coding. Mabdese has done site moving before and said that it’s never been so complicated for her, so you’ll likely not encounter the huge problems we did.
@ Animeparley
Thanks, and a belated welcome to THAT!
@ RabbitPoets
Hehe, we’re all extremely happy that our long logistical nightmare is over. Still a bug here or there (the AJAX comment editor thing), but so far so good.
Yeah, this was much harder than any move I’ve ever helped with or done. I think the sheer size of THAT played a role in making things tricky.
good to see THAT is growing even stronger… Hmmmn… would trappy IMPZIE be dancing at the house warming party? XD
Hey, Impz, EO, Crusader and the rest of the team… more power to you guys! ‘grats.
But where is Impz?
Grats on finally getting the move done. Ugh, it was a real perfect storm of bugs that made the project such a nightmare, but it’s good to put all that behind. I’m loving the fast new server!
Congrats on completing the move. The site feels a lot snappier than before.
Very minor issue, you guys don’t have a website icon up. It’s currently a blank white page.
Hope the new site goes well.
Just trying out the comments posting…
Congrats on the move! Loading times is definately much faster. When’s the blog warming party!?
Impz is busy with work and has not watched a single anime series for ages. T_T
Oh, but what’s this I hear about you kyaaing to the point of hurting 13sugars’s ears over Kimi ni Todoke, hmmm?
With the move, you’ve successfully eliminated my main reason for camping your feed instead of visiting the site proper. The new load times are completely painless, and with the recent redesign I’d say that you guys have vastly improved your reader experience. Nice work!
Thank you all for the warm wishes, I and everyone else at THAT is really glad to see you joining us at our new home
This…is…a…test….
Merely…only…a…test….
Awesome work on the new design, THAT.
I see the after-effects of the missing Maestro over at Animeblogger.net: more and more weblogs being hosted there are moving out. >.>
I am not against the move-out: I sympathize with whoever that has to take over the old hosting platform, seeing that it has not been updated for quite a long time. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, am going to reconfigure my Google Reader feeds to point to here instead.
Congratulations on moving to your own server/domain. So much fun stuff to do for yourselves and working every small detail out is so much fun.
Takes time but the end result is well worth it.
Glad to hear you got your own domain now.
May be a bit late to the party but congrats on the move, it’s looking real good.
I may not know how hard it was to move over content, but I definitely do know how hard it is to set up a proper blog on it’s own domain (mostly cos I just finished this process myself lol)
