To Aru Kagaku no Railgun – 17: ANTI-SKILLS

ANTI-SKILLSs is filmed on location with the men and women of the Academy Forces. All suspects are guilty, period.

I suppose that there was bound to be an episode that focused more on the Anti-Skills, I just never thought that it would come past the halfway mark. Still it was good to see them doing something with Tessou as up to this point she was was bumbling Anti-Skill that could barely operate her weapon within proscribed safety regulations. Still I guess she earns points too for being a reservist. In regards to the Big Four I was rather disappointed that Kuroko didn’t like video games though since she is proficient inf physical attacks I guess nothing beats the real thing. It was pretty much a fluff episode, but amusing nonetheless as Yomikawa was delightful to watch as she berated Tessou in her drunken state and then hitched a ride on Tessou in a yuri piggyback. Though I am surprised that Tessou could carry Yomikawa given the difference in size. Seeing Tessou obsession with her fighting game brought back old memories of SNES and Street Fighter, though I have to say that is one helluva way to secure a sequel for a game that hardly anyone remembers. Hell I am still waiting for Homeworld 3…

The presence of Index and assorted cameo appearances might be an indicator of some greater crossover at some point though I don’t want this to descend into Index 2 for another speech from Touma (Honestly my Commander in Chief cold give a better speech so Touma is even more lackluster than before). Still their appearances were underwhelming with Index wanting to eat dirty donuts, Touma and his pusscake 3 second rule, and Aisa with her love of filler that they pass off for beef. Perhaps this will be the final lull in the storm, but time will tell. In the end though not much really happened just a lot of bathing and Yomikawa getting gloriously drunk. Also Musahino milk returns. Watching this episode though I wonder if Saten and Uiharu will end up like Yomikawa and Tessou, maybe it’s nothing and simply similar size differentials.

Note how she chose the heavier one made of metal…

I guess Kuroko has a distinct lack of respect for her Anti-skill counterparts…

Do you smell what the Rock is cook’n?

Well try not to fry the whole arcade if you must…

Hmmm…must try using this line of flattery some time…

I see Kuroko is quite critical when it comes to matters such as these.

Indeed every girl with a Wii needs to play Punch Out!

I guess the taken hostage was punishment for being late.

More bars in more places, AT&T.

So began Yomikawa’s Get Tessou drunk plan…

Ah yest the oldest truth serum in existence.

Well at least no one hit any one…

A most fitting punishment for tardiness if I say so myself…

Work weak as skills were just too horrible to watch kid…

Well when it comes to Contra it is some times vital…

Tessou has a thing for shirtless balding men in tight pants…

I suspect that she secretly plays everyday…

Ah yes the feeling of anguish at arcade machines stealing your quarters…

LOL that’s a good one a fighting game with a story…

And guess who’s picking up the tab…

Enough to make the hitch a ride on Tessou plan to work…

Well I am sure God would be most displeased that a nun would have her legs spread apart like that…

Touma is such a pussy, it’s a five second rule…

Yes she want’s super size that.

I am surprised she even did earthquake drills…

Some how i think that was a snide remark…

Hey they took out the continue countdown…

Worry not for the Loli can eat her share and then some…

SEE!

Well that is one way to secure your sequel…I am still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever Homeworld 3…

Lol Duke Nukem :D that’s the real urban legend
anyway it’s good that show continues but lack of plot is glowing in every corner,
well I hope there will be more episodes than 24 so far predicted and Saten finally getting some esper powers cos you know it’s kinda lame to watch her failing all the time…
btw all fighting games have story

It would be unfortunate if they rushed things at this point doesn’t seem to be much time left. If nothing else Saten never fails at litting up Uiharu’s skirt,

I kinda liked the Index and Aiso cameos cause you know the story behind what’s going on already from To Aru Majutsu no Index.

It’d be rather disappointing if this was just going to be a rehash of the events of Index, I’d rather be surprised.

“…wonder if Saten and Uiharu will end up like Yomikawa and Tessou…”

    I would support that.

I wonder if the police in Japan are just as crappy as the anti-skills.. I mean ordered to do mundane tasks like enforce curfew and give directions on the street.

haha HOMEWORLD… that was one bitching game…
we are all waiting for the sequel.

They need more crossover stuff in railgun. I am hoping we get to the biribiri clones soon…

Still hoping to see if they’ll ever do the Sisters arc, but sadly they’re still writing it out. Likely that rest of series turns out filler. A shame, since Railgun vs Accelerator was interesting.

So I’m not the only one waiting for a Homeworld 3!

Anyway, is it my imagination or Himegami is a bit fatter than when she was appeared on Index? Those hamburgers are packed with calories!
