Amagami SS+ – 07: Sketchy…

Fear not citizens while EO is away, I, Inago Mask, will shower praise on Kaoru in his stead.

ExecutiveOtaku is on vacation this week so I am here to try and hold the fort though in all probability I am likely going to get overrun. At any rate it seems that Kaoru is coming out of the tunnel to give us some respite from the Kouhai arcs. In the first Season Kaoru had the misfortune of coming in behind Haruka and as a result her arc seemed to be a down grade. Still this is a good opportunity to set things right and move things along a bit more. Sadly a year seems to have passed and Junichi and Kaoru have been moving at a glacial pace, there hasn’t even been a real change up in routine. I lay the blame squarely on Junichi’s shoulders; while Kaoru is working Junichi is lounging about and not thinking of new and creative ways to express his undying love.

For those of you who have not had misfortune of taking a long bus trip, I say for certain that is not romantic. Bus tickets are cheap therefore the menagerie that you see at as bus stop is like going on a really scary safari. So unless you relish the idea of possibly having to sit by the honey-pot at the end of the bus, are willing to dare interesting diseases, not shower, eating gas station food, and/or love the smell of other people’s smells, DO NOT TAKE THE BUS. I used to complain about the line at the airport, until I went on a three day bus ride from New Orleans to Los Angeles. At the time it seemed like a NICE IDEA, until you realize your fellow passengers are not screened, smell, are likely sick, and do not operate on the same clock as you do. I ended up sick and down with bronchitis by the end of it, it was not very fun nor could I imagine anyone thinking a bus ride is romantic. Cheap is what it is (though in my case only $50 less than the plane ticket), and had Junichi been a better less miserly man he would have worked and saved his money for a trip worth remembering. Another thing too, DO NOT EVER let the bus driver out of your sight. He may have said 20 minutes but he’s getting paid little and he’s probably pissed off at his job, and he knows full well that there will be another bus behind him. He really doesn’t care if he leaves you in the lurch. It’s written into policy, his job is to be on time, not babysit you.

While Ai-chan was doling out the physicality, Kaoru despite the sex hair doesn’t seem to do much more than dry hump. I am unsure if I should applaud Kaoru for insisting on a proper setting and mood, or if I should be sorely disappointed in Junichi for settling for dry humping in public. Certainly Kaoru deserves a romantic trip but good things come to those who wait and they should have waited. Sad to see Junichi fuck up a kid’s theater show, but come on man you can’t get jealous of a fictional character. If anything this is Kaoru’s way of giving you a hint for role-play. I can’t believe that I understood this and Junichi did not.

As for the rest of the gang, Tsukasa and Takahashi-sensei are getting along just fine. I am disappointed that Miya Miya is not out with Sae and Ai, right now she is missing out on this and that.

I hope they make the most of this unmitigated disaster that was supposed to be a romantic trip. They can still save it but still Hawaii is where to go, it’s practically a Japanese Colony. I personally recommend the Hyatt Regency at Waikiki, surfing is right across the street, the beds are nice, the place is clean, the spa has a daily deal, and breakfast buffet is LOADED. Still this NICE IDEA of a romantic trip from Junichi is most lacking, a romantic BUS TRIP? Come on man…
