Maybe Muginami would have more readily agreed had you punished him in the name of the moon...
While last week’s spat between Madoka and Muginami looked pretty awful and ended on a horrible note at least both parties were up for reconciliation. Granted neither Muginami nor Madoka were long term friends of one another I am glad they both decided that a true friend was hard to come by and that they are worth keeping. Lovers may come and go but friends stay with you for a good deal longer. It’s getting a little harder to tell if this show wants to go to a GRIMDARK place considering the happy colors of Kamogawa compared to the oppressive atmosphere of U-Go. I am getting more and more intrigued by the war between La Garite and De Metrio now that the distinction has been made that both share a cultural heritage but are separate political entities. This complicates things though whether or not they have a grand plan to sort out the mess remains to be seen I am having fun making conjectures as they seem willing to answer most of them week to week.
So Villagiulio was really up there when Lan was Loli, but I wonder who betrayed who first, Dizelmine or Villagiulio. Judging by how Moid and Lan view Villagiulio it would seem as if Villagiulio betrayed Dizelmine when it was expected that as allies they would bring peace to the Polyhedron Space. From the look of things I’d guess that Polyhedron would be a council of noble houses that shared the same culture despite the political divisions with different ruling houses, a Landsraad if you will. It would please me greatly if the war between De Metrio and La Garite was going to be as storied as the Harkonnen-Atredies feud I get the feeling that this isn’t going to happen even if there is a religious aspect concerning the Voxes. Still I want to know who now leads De Metrio now that Villagiulio has been deposed. Was it a leader of the masses who rose from the ashes of the old order or was it another branch of Villagiulio’s family that wanted to put their own candidate onto the throne? Given Villagiulio’s status as Crown Prince I wonder if there were plans to marry Lan to him, it would lead to more drama but by the look of things Lan sided with her family and dumped Villagiulio.
Since U-Go is a penal colony where I suppose Polyhedron dumps the criminals I guess Villagiulio was likely exiled there and not shot down. I’ll say this much about U-Go of Muginami’s memory, it was kind of like Kamogawa’s evil twin in that it was darker, colder, and seemingly dead given the overall lack of marine life. I wonder what happened to the rest of Kiss though since there was more than one member and it seems as if Kiss was there long before Villagiulio was exiled. It would be something if Villagiulio killed his way to the top to take command, though now that just about everyone eyes him warily as a traitor I wonder how Izo and Kirius view him. They must know that Villagiulio is an ex-Crown Prince, so maybe they too have some plans to dispose of him as I don’t think the current De Metrio leadership would like to have him back.
The fanservice this week was laid on greasy thick it was like they just wanted to escalate things and push it to the limit. Thankfully it did not get as crass as Monty Python’s Meaning of Life. Lan being a dojikko was delightful as always but I wouldn’t mind if they toned it down next week. If nothing else they at least are justifying the MA tag on the Viz release. If we ever get a spin off I want it to be about Yoko and Machiko’s old school days since both seem to be the original jersey club members. I like my Brightslaps as much as the next guy but it was better to see Madoka get back on the ball without needing a BRIGHTSLAP to set her straight. All too often people over think things and Madoka certainly has it right if you know you are wrong apologize right then and there where possible. Madoka didn’t need much more goading and was able to arrive at the correct answer on her own. The bath scene was most yurilicious and I did appreciate that they both made amends and probably did this and that. While Lan should have been there I guess they made up for it in dramatic fashion with the midnight beach party.
Hiroshi might be a loli-con in disguise but at least he’s trying to give out handmade gifts even if said gifts are company uniforms. They aren’t bad and certainly all three of them will use them to charm their customers. I must commend Muginami for bouncing back fairly quickly though. Sure she was wrong to defend Villagiulio but at least she finally has a real home where people will love her unconditionally and accept the real Muginami. I guess this will be the end of the ditsy air-head act but I hope that in the future Muginami will realize that Madoka loves her the most and that Villagiulio deserves to be FOREVER ALONE. I wonder if Moid is out for himself or if he is simply out to do the dirty work to ensure that La Garite survives and wins the war. Certainly he is hiding a whole lot and Tadokoro is having little luck getting answers. That said Tadokoro certainly can hold back his vomit when watching Moid eat his “healthy” breakfast. I agree that the ingredients were sound but mixing it just looks so unappetizing.
Next week we get to meet the leader of Novumundus, who is…surprise, loli. I doubt that we are going to be in for more mecha combat next week as Lan’s dream of riding an Orca might come true as they visit Kamogawa Seaworld. I just hope that Lan-hime will become the patron saint of Killer Whales.

Let's be honest here Moid you aren't just sitting back and watching by any stretch of the imagination.

I have to hand it to Tadokoro for being able to ask his questions while simultaneously being grossed out by Moid's idea of a healthy breakfast.

We don't know, but I have the feeling YOU do...

Well whoever said bad taste was unique?

Indeed especially since you are superior in every way...

Your logic is sound, but...

So that's what passes for a prince these days...?

So Muginami wears tight fitting clothes because they were the only clothes she had...Villaguilio YOU CHEAP BASTARD!

It plays out exactly as one would think it would...

Maybe next year they can stick with chicken...

I would like to ask the delivery guys who they reached this conclusion...

Not your fault you just need to improve your skinship.

You don't say anything?

Oh I see Madoka is much more direct...

Start mouthing off about righteousness?

HELL YEAH LITTLE LADY.

I can see why Tadokoro was smitten.

Save that one for Madoka because come BBQ time victory will never taste so good.

Good to see that you admit that siding with Villagiulio was wrong.

O_o

OH MY...

Now whisper some more sweet nothings into Muginami's ears.

I think we should leave these two alone for a bit...good to see Yuri Prevail though.

Oh did Madoka steal your first kissu?

Lan will save Madoka's heart!

And to you as well...

INDEED AND HOW!

But such is their love they will forgive you, unlike Villangulio.

Well you really shouldn't go back to your old home...

You don't even have t ask, not like Madoka would turn you away and cast you out.

I am sure that in the future Madoka will be holding marriage certificates.

I was happy about this turn of events too.

If only you acted and jumped in, but we'll work on that.

Since when?

Muginami...

Tell Muginami how it really is.

I approve of this blatant abuse of Royal Authority.

May you never lose that impetuousness.

I guess Madoka wanted something more frilly and meido.

Is THAT what your are calling it...

At least he bothered to customize them. Then again Hiroshi did think that coat was awesome.

Muginami likes it just fine.

I'll take it that Muginami is being honest.

Yeah Lan-hime is used to more elaborate dresses.

I see that the OT3 path is better now than ever... Lan is tsundre for Muginami.

There is bold and then there is DARING, Muginami is clearly DARING.

So they love mecha too, oh my I think my heart just skipped a beat...

Hm, yeah. Seems like the Yuri quotient is through the roof with this episode. ^^
Muginami somewhat redeems herself for her excessive attachment, because of her backstory. We shall see how the next engagement with Villagiulio goes.
Yuri levels shot through the roof, then through the atmosphere, looped around and took out a few walls along the way.
Muginami somewhat redeemed herself but I too hope that this shift is more permanent and not fleeting.
I’ll be most interested to see if Madoka ever will get the name of that smirking villain right.
I am hoping never if only as a sign of Madoka’s contempt for Digiabulio.
I disagree on just on thing – Muginami was not wrong for protecting Vulgario, after everything is said and done. In fact I would be disappointed in her if she just simply dismissed him simply from telling her off. They were just words compared to what they had been through in the past together.
And I am one of the many Vulgarlio haters!
Everything else was glorious.
I don’t know why but that simple action of Muginami’s hair becoming un-done, it struck so hard with me even now I can’t seem to get over it!
I wonder why….
It mirrored the wall that she had built around herself coming down.
A good interpretation, mine was uh…I’ll keep it to myself…
Good call
Love is strange thing still, I think Muginami should have but sisters before boys. Lovers come and go friends are forever.
A quick reconciliation, that’s was great
Indeed not need to dawdle when you want to apologize.
Since Villagiulio was De Metroio’s former prince and Lan is the princess of La Garite it is not inconceivable these two would have been arranged to be married.
Meaning Lan would have had accepted the idea to be his bride and wife in the future. She may also genuinely fallen in love with him. So she knows what Muginami feels. But something happened and that all changed.
This really a curve ball given there are three boys on the opposite side. Lan and Muginami’s flags were raised long before the series.
Villagiulio did try to flirt with Madoka but she’s one of those unflagable characters in a dating sim.
We get more the galactic politics. This Polyhedron sounds like Battletech’s Inner Sphere. With De Metrio and La Garite some of the great house led states.
I must say Madoka, Muginami and Lan are too ready to play commando nekid! We know Muginasmi has a recording on Pharos during infiltration. Madoka was willing to wear just her jersey without bra or pantsu. Lan made it a order to take off.
Hopefully Jim didn’t record that skinny dipping all the way from Pharos.
It was a long time ago and Lan seems to be over it, certainly she did not love Villagiulio enough to side with him when war came. I am not too worried about Lan she has her duty and Madoka for Muginami though… Time will tell.
